sounds like a Big Night Out.
was having a horrible day and evening--i left my distance glasses at work and was faced with trying to navigate with my reading glasses all weekend, and wound up curled up in bed with my cat sitting on me and wondering how to live when your cat is the only thing you have to live for--but i had to get up and move around because my friend who got me into the job was bringing my glasses over. so i started playing guitar along with "Tomorrow's Harvest," which i finally got a copy of this week, and found a lovely decayed guitar sound using the Goodbye 24 to age the Tone Reaper and then swelling them into an RV-3 with the volume pedal. then my friend arrived and brought some weed as well as my glasses. so now i can see what i'm doing, though happily the rainbow array of pedals allows me to navigate by color anyway ("if you're the silver thIng with red boxes on either side you you're the Randy's Revenge, if you're the color of a Tall Font Russian you're the Tall Font Russian..."). If i was playing out i would seriously consider painting everything in different and festive colors so i could tell them apart in the lights.

Re: the happiness, excitement, and general contentedness thr
I was doing some research for my grad school application and in this one paper one of the researchers from the department wrote he's like "there's PhD dissertations on markets, cityscapes, art and culture". And I'm all MY ONE BA IS ALL THOSE THINGS COMBINED.
Then like a paragraph later he's like "there's communication problems between the tech experts and the marketing department". And I'm all OH WORD? CUZ MY OTHER DEGREE IS IN ENGLISH, WHICH TEACHES YOU TO TALK GOOD.
So basically, sup perfect match to a grad program I made up in my head and then googled and found there's actually a school in Denmark that has it and one of the professors just happens to think that everything I've studied is exactly the kind of stuff one should know for said program.
