What sucks is shit like this really easily knocks my mood towards depression status. But im just drowning it out this time with noise.

I just recently went through the whole job application thing too...
Just remember - if someone is unprofessional in an interview, even if it's on the phone - they're also gonna be unprofessional at the job. And you don't want that. So you made the right choice by denying him your awesome IT skills!

Oh god

I'm spending my day handing out flower deliveries at the Welcome Desk to happy people. This is about as involved with Valentines day I will be. At 5 I'm going home, getting drunk and hopefully finding people to go to the bar with later. I've been completely single for over a year and a half with hardly even a fling in between that. I'm not sure I'd even be any good at dating again and not sure I really want to. Playing guitar and video games and doing drugs takes up most of my time outside of class and work anyway. Will that get old eventually? I don't know :idk:

I'm too busy trying to find a job. Don't have time for auditioning ladytypes.

I say as I lay around dicking around on the internet as I have done all fucking week.

Holy fuckin' hell I am never selling shit for anyone on eBay again. The time investment required makes it a super-low-paying full-time jobclusterfuck and I'm pretty much over worrying about when these pending funds are gonna come through, if my bank account is gonna get overdrafted, when eBay's gonna hit me with the selling fees and if it's gonna be through Paypal or my bank account, when some shithead is gonna start a dispute over an item...

Supertrue. I hav no time for people who can't even be bothered to put the effort into being polite when they're talking work. Fuck that. Familiarity is for people you know, that's why it's called what it is.

I've applied to 8 different PhD programs and so far the only one I've heard back from was Florida State saying "thanks for applying but we don't have any faculty that match your research interests, nor do we have any that are willing to take you on." I'm normally patient about these sorts of things but given that this will determine A. where I spend the next 4-6 years of my life and B. what I'm going to do after said 4-6 years, the wait and suspense are really driving me up the wall.

If it makes you feel any better, as far as I can tell, there's only one school on the planet that offers the Master's I want.
And it's in Denmark.

If it makes you feel any better I applied to eleven grad schools and got eleven rejection letters. I don't know how it worked out that way because I am in grad school right now  Just wait, a lot of places take FOREVER to decide and a lot of places won't make decisions until after the deadline for applying has passed.

I can relate to you guys with grad program issues...Going through the same myself and seeing all the deadlines loom and go by. I don't want to wait another year to possibly get into a grad program and get out of retail bullshit.
Good luck to all you guys applying
