Also, 1349 is horrible. I almost fell asleep when they played with Behemoth a couple of weeks ago.
Saw them at Scion Fest in Atlanta and they sounded like absolute ear piercing shit.
I missed a lot, but are you dudes talking about the SP 303 samplers?
yeah -- there was a thread in general about samplers. 303 got lots of love.
I've been using those for a long time. Started out on the 202 but when it died I got a 303 but then sold it pretty quick to fund a 404 for really cheap. I dig them but mostly I use them to trigger sound loops and stuff like that between songs. I'd like to dive into it a little bit more and use it to its fullest in a noise setup. Been wanting to do a solo show for a while now.

I like their albums, but when I saw them live they sounded horrible. So bad that I walked out and went to a different stage.
I like 1349. Only listened to their albums. The last one that is slower is the only one I don't care much for. But overall I rather other bands for my black metal.
Just got to see Old Irons FULL set for the first time. Goddamn they fucking rule. I am never moving from here. Big spider on bass sounds killer in case anyone is wondering.

not at all how they were running it. Sounded killer. Bassist had 2 weird yellow rack mounted amps and the usual 8x10 and what I think was a 2x18? I was thinking 2x15 at first but the drivers looked huge. Funky looking old cab and if I had to guess I'd say altec lansing due to white basket and metal cone. Looked very similar to the 12's I have only much bigger. Guitar had a Green matamp and was running a bass cab in addition to a 412. Needless to say, I'm all about this approach. Have a listen. http://oldiron.bandcamp.com/

This drunk guy kept throwing himself infront of cars and was doing himself serious damage, he took his trousers off, pissed himself, took his shoes off and walked all over the road.
I had to pull him on to the pavement and restrain him for like 30 minutes waiting for the police. My hands are covered in gouges and scratches, the guy tried biting me through my denim jacket and I have a massive lovebite looking thing under it, and I came away covered in blood. He was about 20 stone; I'm only 12. Totally got steamrollered by that fucker but I got him in the end.
Fucking weird night

Good for you man. May I suggest some jujitsu lessons? a decent blood choke will put someone out cold in about 5 seconds. very effective. It's easy stuff to learn and apply and will definately pacify a drunk person who is out of it.

good advice...jujitsu is fuckin cool. I went to wrestling (the fake kind) school with a guy who was trained in Jujitsu and the guy was a damn technician monster...not matter the size difference he would put you down
that's one of em, there are a ton. rear naked is probably the one that you would learn first and it's damned effective. that one alone would be god for drunk control I wouldn't recommend trying any of that stuff on an angry drunk unless you are sure of what you are doing. properly applied though it's likely they would be out before they realize what is happening. Like Sam was saying, technique will beat size every time. for a good laugh, google the Gracie vids from the early ufc. Dude took apart all kinds of guys regardless of size by knowing what the fuck he was doing. Some of it is actually hilarious too.
