To be honest, the whole design is a little more complex than a standard Marshall 800 or Fender Blues Junior. :p

Basically, there are two separate EQ's, EQ1 and EQ2. They can be switched on or off individually or at the same time and each have a Bass and Treble control. The Master section has a Pre and Post-Phaser Inverter master volume. The other bottom switches are a Tight/Fat and Dark/Bright switches. With the outlines of the knobs it might look a little more recognizable.

I don't know about that, but I prefer troglodyte tools for troglodyte tunes.

I play posh tunes as well as troglodyte tunes. ;)

I kinda like the way it parallels the whole railway/train theme of a city train line.

Yeah, so do I. But I'm simplifying by having ONE amp that will do all that I want, rather than a bunch that will perform various different tasks and take up too much room. We all simplify in different ways.

The drummer supply here is non existent so I'm gonna just take his spot when he leaves. We started writing with that lineup the other night before he got there and came up with this intro for a new song. Matt (t0thesun) traded his AOR for a Music Man hd150 and it sounds great with a Revelation in front of it. My drumming sucks, but I didn't wanna push it and undo any good that this wrist surgery has done.

Sounds good dude. Sucks you won't get to use your sweet, sweet guitar rig, but still awesome that you get to keep making music.

I don't think bath salts have had effects in the US like the krokodile has had in Russia, except for that one dude eating the other dudes face off. but that was in flordia, so im not totally convinced that was 100% bath salts fault. flordia is a breeding place for insanity for some reason.

Because it's literally the worst place in America.

Iommic Pope wrote:Whiskers, regarding bath salts, it has been really hyped up down here, we're kinda of going through a media beat up period with it at the moment. So I'm sure most of what I'm hearing is misinformation. If the physiological reaction of the body is as reported though, I'm baffled as to why ANYONE would think that shit is ok or a good idea to take.

Just go get Ebola or some shit.

I'm sure there is some media sensationalist douchebaggery happening, unfortunately it's probably not far from the truth. Bath salts are some dirty, dirty shit. A lot of enlisted folks were ending up in the hospital around here a few years ago because of it. Just taking way too much and going full on psychotic (like the real meaning of that word - hallucinations and aggressiveness and shit).

ShaolinLambKiller wrote:Yea I really can't wait to dig in on em. I think I'll throw em into this other birch 212 I've built but haven't tolexed or anything. You know more so just to test em out.

I love AmpegSS's they used to be so cheap which is how I ended up with 3 SS150's and 3 SS140c's and one each of the VH150 and VH140c. I think more so in the last couple of years people are researching and finding out what a ton of classic death and grind bands used to and currently use and that's usually what drives up the price. ebay is where I used to see em go for cheap which is were I got half of mine usually less than 200 each but now I'm seeing them asked for around 4-5 which I still think is high. I did see one for a 100 but it ended up going for 285 or something.

Question - Orange CR120 or Ampeg SS? Your fucking clips are going to make me buy one or the other at some point.

I dig it - fits the theme of the amp well. I like the name too, since your original intention was to have an amp you could take on the train with you.

Cultural differences I guess. :idk:
So whatever terminology you guys are using now, we might get in 5-10 years.

This is correct.

I had something else to contribute that wasn't about all that shit...but my brain is not functioning. I hate being sick. I've lost two days of my prac block now that I have to make up at the end and I'm hoping I can get in some rest today as well as catch up on all the lesson planning I need to do for the rest of the week.
I really hope I'm well enough to go in tomorrow.
Fucking cold season.

On the one hand I'm sad that you are in Australia. On the other hand, I'm glad for our Aussy bro's that you popped in here. Post lots of pics and how and what along the way. I love seeing that shit.

My sister's boyfriend, he's a really good friend of mine. Over the last year we've become pretty close, but he has this weird affection with Florida that I don't understand. Well, I do. He sees Florida as cheap housing with swimming pools, wall walls and huge kitchens, and of course Disney Land, which he adores. All of these things are true. €200,000 will get you a mansion in Florida, while here it'll get you a decent semi-detached in a new housing estate. Although many wealthy and successful people flock there for the good weather and accessibility, a lot of unpleasant people also flock there, people with serious delusions and aggressive tendencies. It's a breeding ground for racism and bigotry. Of course, like anywhere, it'll have its beautiful areas, and that's probably all he's seen, so I do understand where he's coming from.

And thanks for your thoughts on the Dunwich. Although I haven't gigged in around a year and my needs have somewhat changed, I know that I'll eventually get back into it and will once again require a lightweight amp to cart around and perform with. For now, I'm playing a lot of guitar in the house where it's more comfortable, so a quieter and less 'amp' looking platform to jam on in the house is what I need, and the Railway 15 should theoretically serve this purpose just as well as performing out and about. It'll be small, only 15 watts, have a master volume, and will be stained red and look somewhat more like furniture than a snakeskin Soldano.

It'll be a fairly quick build… I love building amps!
I'm going to probably change the faceplate and have a different one made up.
A fair few ideas floating around for the art work so that is very exciting.
SOMA is such a good album, it was by chance that I came across Nathan and the GT120 just seemed like a good idea!
going to be some pretty heavy iron in this big boiiii
