Yup, pretty much. With the right pedal/amp/cab/settings. I've used a jazz, precision, ric, stingray, custom stuff with dual humbuckers. They all work, in the right context.
I use an Epiphone T-Bird Pro 4 string in drop F and it's tits. Jazz/P basses rule too.
These are the two I would've said immediately. I have one of each. the thunderbird I have tuned to G standard. The Fender I have in A but will drop to F when needed.
I have always thought those Thunderbirds were pretty cool.

what i dont understand is deftones i understand tool, nin,beatles,eagles,boss but some you guys said deftones for desert island dont think i ever heard one song pretty sure thats filed in my brain with the BIZKIT an ex of mine was younger than me im pretty sure she made out with the guy that took her to see deftones cause i refused to go

I'm with you on Deftones...there's one band near the top of my list that i'm pretty sure people here will not be into...Opeth. I'm such a fanboy for their stuff, even their prog album was great to my ears.
So...in other news...got confirmed recently...I HAVE BABY NUMBER 2 ON THE WAY!!! I still have till November to make use of my limited time until that completely disappears...but really stocked.
everyone knows i need an rgasm.
