Skully is gonna build me one of them rub-a-dub reverberatin stomperoo pedals. I am very excited, I have a distinct deficit of non-dirt boxes.

I just laughed mostly. I could tell the guy really wanted to cut loose and play something heavy, kindred spirits.

Ancient Astronaught wrote:Thats awesome dude! I'm excited for you I know you've been dying to start playing in a band again. An hour away for a decent affordable practice space isn't a bad deal by any means, I lucked out in having an awesome wife who doesn't mind band practice at my house but things could be alot worse for ya.

Yeah, I've been getting super antsy to play lately, so I'm excited. I don't mind the drive, I've driven farther to practice before and there's just not a lot of resources for me locally. My wife would definitely be down to let me practice in the house. I practiced in our old house and even threw shows there. The back room of my work is a perfect practice/recording room, that I have free and regular access to, I just can't get anyone to jam here on a regular basis. Santa Cruz has actual musical venues and a lot more musicians, doesn't hurt that it's a college town and close to the other bigger cities too. I don't have much desire to play shows in my town anyway, haven't for years.

Needs more dub.

I would assume it sounds like everything else they did. decent but nothing I care deeply about. I have two of their albums cause I picked them up for cheap.

but I just picked up a set of 1983 Eminence 15" 150watt Speakers. I got a similar set that I threw into my Kustom 215. They sound good so I'll build a cab and throw them in that.

The track is all ambient, no black metal stuff. It has actually been a bit since I have listened to their stuff, guess it is time to throw it on the ipod for another whirl.

So this weekend I watched Fist Full of Dollars, and >Heavy Metal<, (for the first time). Eastwood classic and 80's classic. Made me want to start cheesing... : )

ALSO... I am trying to figure out the name of a band someone linked here. I have little information to go on. It was a live video where I was digging what the drummer was doing. He was doing a lot of bell accents and other syncopated goodness.

All I have is that it was a live video and the drummer was wearing some hoodie and a baseball cap with the hood up over the cap. I know right? Lots of info... Well, it sounded cool. So any suggestions? :idk:

Their drummer has amazing use of bells and splashes especially for that type of doom.

You are on it Ancient! That's the one.. Coincidentally, I did happen upon this clip >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=p ... of5C1OHX_8

That sounded familiar enough to get me here >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y1BY8YBdGE (and only after sifting through 1200-1100 series pages on this thread. Then I checked back with my post and found the same band.

LOL

But I do like what he does as far as his accents and playing style. Freaks me out when I see other drummers wearing hoodies and other things that would make me sweat to death. I start feeling sympathetic claustrophobia.
