I think that's the equation I'm operating on and if it isn't that I don't want to know the real answer.

what I'm planning to do is do it 212 and 412 but all to a single output but the internal baffle will be done up like how yours is wired with the 3 212's. Finally got off work a bit ago and I'll spend the rest of the evening and tmwr drawing up shit and painting some pictures.

far as impedance on a 612 cab I figured it was all in the matter of how you ran your speaker set so it can still be your standard 4 8 16. The one I'm planning I want to do it up basically like a 212 and a 412 instead of how I've seen some done where it's two 312s.

Yep. My old 6x12 was wired to 8 ohms. I miss that thing something fierce. My V4 ROARED through it in a way that no other cab has been able to match. Once I swap the Electric Lightnings out of my 2nd Orange with something a bit more rumbly, I hope to be back at that place again.

why limit yourself to stockers? I love pickups / strings all sorts of shit. even tubes NOS, modern, obscure builds, I would never wall myself like that.

:edit: link to harmony central thread pls depending on how old it is, I might have been the 1 dude calling the pussies, pussies.

I used a 612 for a long time so I also might have been one of the people calling out sissies. I really want to replace both of my current 4x12's with 612's.

My 6x12 wasn't much heavier than one of my Orange 4x12s, just more cumbersome. If I were the only guitar player, I might sell the Oranges and have Petras at Atlas build me some 6x12s, but with all the gear we already have on stage as a four piece, it'd be impossible to put it all on stage.

DOOM ROOM PROBLEM: Want more cabs/stacks, stages have finite amount of space.

hahahahaha Ryan You need to do some standup. glorious

emptyparadigm totally feel you about the stage setup, I'm actually kinda glad my current pV band is a 2 piece so there's more room for me to set up stuff. the next show we play I plan on getting towards Juicifer's levels of stageware. with only a quarter of the set time.

Also checking that Galaxicon... buying.

Mine was wired as a 4x12 and 2x12 then wired together internally, came out to 8 ohms, I'm pretty sure. Miss that thing.

I'm not selling it for that. I'd feel like a thief. The pedal is not worth $800. The Strymon Mobius can do the same thing, is half the price and does a bunch of other sounds as well. The reason why I stopped using the Goatkeeper was because it couldn't do 'normal' tremolo that is more musical and 'amp-like'. I invested in a Catalinbread trem and haven't looked back for long. Every now and again I might whip out the weirdness of the Goatkeeper, and I'm sure I'd miss it greatly and regret the sale, but needs come first. We'll have to see what I do.

Us, EVERY GODDAMN SHOW,
"this looks like a nice spacious stage"
Load in/ setup
"Fuck man, I cant even move!"

would not have it any other way though.

Wrote new song today, extremely sabbath influenced. Not so much intentionally, that's just how it came out. Really digging it. 1 more and we have Ryders new song before recording quota filled. fuck I want to have an album from this band so gawdamn bad.

I'm leaning towards going with Tony Reed from Mos Generator. Just seems like everything the dude records sounds like evil heavy gold.

The goal is to eventually replace my 2 4x12's with 2 6x12's. So yes.

I've missed so much cool shit.
I had 2c for all the stuff you guys have been saying but....too late now.

Oh yeah, Whisk, tell us about the slug when you get it in. :thumb:

Also, I can't make my vibe or phaser play with the FZ-2, before or after, results are.....unsatisfactory.
Anyone know of a good phaser or vibe that actually play well with stupid amounts of dirt?
Looking for that nice, discernible warble without sounding like cheesy swoosh....you know, when all you get is swoosh.

Was thinking maybe I need to go single coil for those needs but....Iunno.
Maybe a coil split on a humbucker might work? I know some of you dudes have said don't even bother with that shit in the past, but do some HBs split better than others?

Also, moar cabs.
WWPD?

Old ass post. But I finally had a regular non-BA Pt5th last night and shit that was good. The cacao notes were amazing.

Yeah, I think Tony's the guy you want. Totally great dude to work with. This is one of the tracks we did with him a few years ago....

Case in point ^

That sounds sick. I'm still pissed I never got to see Mico.
