Everything about that sentence is badass. Sounds like the plot of a Metalocalypse episode

Also, your new guitar looks very snazzy.

Not sure if directed at me or not but I'll answer.
EHG was fucking awesome. It's so interesting to watch a band who last put out a record 14 years ago tour on the back of that new record like nothing has changed. It wasn't the wild heroin romp of yesteryear so the danger and intrigue you read on the internet about Mike IX Williams smashing bottles all over the place and just going nuts isn't there but it was replaced by something perhaps more fresh and interesting.
Here's several guys in their 40's playing their take on punk and metal by means of down tuned slowness, Sabbath meets Black Flag, and they're on the stage having the time of their lives performing to 225 people. A diverse crowd, younger and older. Guys that probably got into EHG their first few records and young twenty-somethings who heard them/heard about them for the first time in recent years. The stage was tightly packed and Williams drank from his fifth of vodka and sloshed around the stage like his brain banged against the walls of his skull, slowly moving towards stage right and then back toward the middle, then to stage left and then back to the metal. And all around him his bandmates seemed to have a good ass time. Lots of banter back and forth that made me envious to not share that stage with them.
Musically there wasn't a thing to complain about. Their replacement drummer did an excellent job. He plays well and plays tight. Everything was really coming together for them and I don't think I can recall and single blip or fuck up. Lots of songs off of the new record and I don't mind that at all. I think the new record is fucking killer. Lots and lots of feedback which I think the girls and boys of the Doom Room can appreciate. And goddamn, those Ampeg solid state heads. Woof.

Apparently at the Savannah show last night the promoter stole all of the money from the show from all of the bands and skipped town before the show was over. He has since deleted all of his personal social media accounts and has disappeared. Shit's fucked up.

Wow... how do some people live with themselves? And what an idiot thing to do. Probably enough to qualify you for a felony, and not nearly enough money to be worth it. It's like idiots that rob banks. Unless they take it over, also, not worth it, you are walking out with a few thousand dollars and an FBI tale that will not go away.
But to do that to bands is pretty fucking low.

You almost certainly have to be some kind of fucked up junkie to pull that kind of shit, right? Only had it happen once- playing with 7 Seconds in Reno in the late '80s. Promoter disappeared with all the loot- the 7 Sec guys weren't even upset by it, which made me suspicious, but they managed to scrape up about 30 bucks for us, so..... who knows

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Saw a awesome show last night. It was the Trve brewing 2nd anniversary in Denver. Honestly the whole lineup was badass. Bongripper and In the Company of Serpents were fucking awesome. I expected a great show, but this was beyond what I expected. Each band was awesome. There was no lulls from one to the next. Each one picked up right where the other left off. Call of the void was a total surprise. They really reminded me of the level and intensity I'd get from soilent green the many times I've seen them.(not that their music was that similar, just the feeling.) Stoic dissention played some awesome, slightly atmospheric black metal. Wasn't out of place at all. Really enjoyed it.
Khemmis \m/!!!!!!!
Bongripper fucking killed it. The whole set was exactly what I would have hoped they would play from start to finish. ( I'm from Louisiana. I say y'all.)
In The Company of Serpents was fucking heavy as shit. They were definitely my kind of Satan.
Great fucking show.
