New amp (the other) day! Never heard of this guy before, but a killer price (I paid just over a dollar a pound) came up on CL and research indicated that it's modeled on the Twin, and has better ss cleans than the JCs. Who knew Yammy had such a sleeper??

:edit: Since I didn't mention it before: It's a Yamaha G100 II 212...

Regardless, it's amazing and this little chain (TItan's Lament [Stanimal-abused Hyperion into Devi Bass Fuzz, rehoused and etched by DW] > Magnus Modulus > SMMH > Flipster) I threw together has been KILLING IT.

This is the bass rig provided to me for the Sludge/Doom project I've become involved in. The cabs are all belong to the guitarist but he has a vision; and I like it.

The amp we've been using is an Ampeg SVT1000 (the bottom amp). It's a 1000 watt solid state job.

We are currently tracking and there is an SVT-CL at the studio (newer version of my amp that I intend to use once I have it gone through by a tech). I much prefer the Tube amp as it is warmer and we are loud enough that I can crank the power section. Just sounds better.

Weekend of salvaging broken amps! Thanks to Sonny who gave me the amp. Was a nice quick fix, simple loose input jack.

Those are pretty sweet. I've got a buddy that's a pro jazz cat, swears by them, won't play anything else, has taken them all over the world. Great clean platform, probably kills with your setup.

Rock!

traded this for my V30 with my friend :) We swapped them and he found out the V30 fits his .50 Caliber+ better than this and I came back home and found out my amp rips with this :)
