Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Uncle Acid doesn't get within like 500 miles of me. I am ultra sad about that.
Boondock Saints is such an awesome movie. We used to watch it every St Patrick's day and drink every time someone said 'fuck.' Everyone would black out before the movie was over.
I'm almost through with the formatting corrections on mah book - should be on sale in the next few weeks. Pretty pumped and extremely anxious about that.
Been having crazy Whiskey-style thoughts of selling all of my amps and cabs in favor of one nice, clean 20-50w amp and a 2x12.

I dunno dude. Even though I've got the full size version of what you have, I'm still pretty envious of your whole setup. I don't think I'd be able to drop back down to one amp and cab. The sound won't be as huge.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Its heavily based on the Ross distortion that's become YOB's 'signature' tone -- which makes sense, since it was a collab between BAT, Mike, and DunwichNick.

selling all my stuff and cutting back to a single head and cab would be like chopping off all my fingers, my balls and just the tip of my dick.

Dude man FUCKING CONGRATS!

So I came home to an empty house at lunch and decided to do a quick shitty iPhone clip of my Matamp GT200 as a guitar amp.

Parker was telling me that Hilbish Designs is putting together one of their Matamp clones for Garrett with purple tolex. Curious to see how it turns out

Mmmmmm purple tolex, love it! He's using the old school White head with no logo right? While Asechiah uses the Matamp? I've been curious about Hillbish but haven't really seen any videos or soundclips to back up what their doing. So i'm curious as well, if you hear any clips send em my way!

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Nah, Garritt uses the old school Matamp, I think Parker said 70's. Asechiah uses the White and the Guild
And yeah, I've been curious too, but their parts kits seem expensive. Like over $1k for a kit that isn't assembled. For a few hundred more you can just find a Matamp used

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I decided to catch up on some bands that I like, but haven't listened to many of their newer albums. I'm terrible about that, if I have one or two albums I really like I usually don't even care about listening to newer stuff from a band. So I started with Kylesa, since Time Will Fuse Its Worth is the newest album I have. I like Ultraviolet, but is it just me or do they go all Q Lazzarus sounding in the middle of some songs? Not bad, but weird.
