I love you.

really, you are possibly twice as mad as I am. Fucking DO IT!!!!

Got to play with Mikes band "Ex-Gods" tonight. I am glad we played first. Mike, I gotta hit you up about the strings you are using cause it looked like you were trying like hell to break em and they held up. Sounded glorious.

Haha! I think that guitar has EB light top / heavy bottom strings, but it's been probly 3 years since I changed em. You guys were awesome, as usual- actually, awesomer. Both your and Tony's rigs were sounding especially good last night. And i told our drummer to figure out what cymbals Ryder was using, cuz that shit sounded great as well.

So you guys know that Deathmonkey etches pedals, right? He did these (except for the Polytope, obviously):

Holly Hunt is killer. They're locals down here, so I get to see them all the time and played a show or two with them as well. Real chill folks.

Those 5th element ones.... Great idea, that looks cool as hell together.

kind of amazing, it looked like you were digging into them really hard. I tried EB's back in the day and they didn't stand up to it.
Ryder'd be glad to talk at length about cymbals. He is alt least as obsessive, if not more, about cymbals as anyone here is about amps and pedals. I think they are Paiste rudes? I could be wrong about that. I do know for sure that he uses the largest ones available. Be prepared for a lengthy discourse on striking angle and velocity as well as what areas of the cymbals have better structural integrity.
I'm just glad his new kit matches the volume those things put out.

my job shit canned a big chunk of the company this week. including me. a bunch of their work somehow vanished all at once and i guess they're in a bit of a crisis and suddenly overstaffed. fucking sucks. right when things were getting close to being back on track for me. i guess my dream of having a little gear budget set up in the near future just vaporized. i may end up posting a little more actively again though now that there's some time on my hands.

sorry to hear that man. More time for riffage though right? At least for a bit. Hope you line something better up soon.
