Obviously. A Thursday night in fucking NOLA will be fine.

Not sure what that's all about.

Apparently it has a lot of scratches and dents, but thats a lot of character and given its age (1981) you wouldn't expect any difference. One of the issues is there is no case, and not sure how easy it is to find a good "fitted" case for these guitars.

The Tokai is in pristine condition from 2005…and i know what you mean about zebra's…but they're the mule pickups, so should sound great, and i don't have a guitar with zebra pickups. I could also just get any LP type case and it will fit fine.

I'd say the Tokai. You might pine more for an Artist, but you'll probably have a more practical guitar that will hold its value better.

try Classhole (that's the owner of Siberia's own band) or Fat Stupid Ugly People. I'm assuming the others are backing out since it's a thursday night.

Others backing out? We haven't asked anyone.

my assumption was that since you still needed openers for nola is that you had asked the couple of bands supplied thus far and they said no. How else am I to take it? My last thought was that you haven't asked anyone at all yet.

You'll find out soon enough. Nola pretty much only cares for nola that's why a vast amount of bands skip over the area. There are certainly shows that go on all through the week, doesn't matter the outcome is not nearly what it would be if it was the weekend.

glad to see you have such a vast knowledge of the area since you are asking for supporters. I guess going to shows and playing shows over there for over a decade netted me no knowledge at all. I don't know why I even bothered. :idk:

STILL needed openers? We booked this date like a few days ago. I wasn't feeling the band you suggested, and I was trying to not be a dick about it because I'm grateful that you took the time to respond and suggest something. Then, you said you would suggest your band, but said you weren't ready and it would likely not be a good fit. YOu're apparently also not local to the immediate NOLA area.

We've been wanting to play there for a while, but we haven't been able to make it work. Our end date was in Austin, but we figured we would see if we could work in a NOLA date as it's on the way back to Atlanta.

I appreciate you taking the time, and I'm sorry this turned into a "thing."

Yowza! Doom room rumble!

Anyway, anybody fuck with the Great Wall fuzz? Got offered a v1 for my Pharaoh, but don't know if it'll bring the doom or if I'm better off with the Pharaoh.

Yea true I'm an hour away from nola. I mean I have no problem with opening with my band. we are a power violence band. and i kinda thought you wanted similar sounding bands. we literally started gigging this year and I mean as in we have played 2 shows cause of our jobs(drummer works nights) and other assorted business with ourselves. The bands I used to play in nola with all the time do not sound the same at all so therefore we don't have a following. That's why I didn't wanted to suggest us, I wanted to suggest a band that would pull a draw so you could have the best of a turn out. That's why my first suggestion of Eat the Witch tons of people loved Spickle and still do and a large portion of their crowd was drawn from that. The most popular bands I was in was a skramz band and a sludge band that pulled people. The skramz band we hadn't played since 07 in nola and called it quits in 08. my sludge band called it a day in 09. the last show I had played in nola was in 2010 with one of my more techy grind bands. So it's not like I've been active over there so I kinda have to start from scratch. But as with all my bands I pretty much played nola far more than my own town cause it's garbage.

So if you want us to open I'm fine I'll talk with the drummer, we can get some of our better friends to show up but no guarantee outside of that because I'm just not sure how well or how much we might have been spoken about.

Also don't remember anything about kicking you in the dick about something but obviously you took offense and I haven't given it a second thought. Usually when I say something it might come across as blunt. I usually don't give it a second thought about hurting someone's feelings. So as far as I was concerned even here it wouldn't have been considered a thing. So if you hadn't responded I literally would've forgot the whole conversation transpired and continued on with other conversations going on. :idk:

This thread is doing nothing to help my raging boner for an Ibanez Artist and/or Yamaha SG.
