Oh man, I'm just laying on the couch with a beer, watching Dr. Katz. Feeling like an adult.

Also me and synth player may have found a drummer.

This whole winter I was super depressed and shit. Now, I'm feeling better, making efforts to be productive, back on medications regularly. Yeah, I feel like so much less of a lump of shit now.

FINALLY got a lab gig where I can do research that will help me with PhD applications next year. I get to make my own hours and I have full disposal of the lab's resources. The pay sucks ass but it beats the self-medication and stress that was coming from my previous cubical farm job.

The film festival I interned for last year is looking for a seasonal development assistant, aka exactly the job I would be qualified for.

Some guy backed out of a summer research program with a professor whose class I did really well in last semester, so over the course of the past 48 hours I got an email about the now open position, was interviewed, and immediately hired. I also got a spot in the only air-conditioned dorm block on campus, which also happens to be right next door to the gym. This summer should be awesome.

Despite the fact that I only worked half the fiscal year last year, and actually left the firm six months ago, I unexpectedly got a message from my old boss saying that in recognition of all my hard work I would still be getting a full bonus. I don't even know how to feel these feels.

I has interview tomorrow. It's not quite matching my background but I'll try to charm the pants off of them.

Turned out the position was not only a really excellent fit for my background but pretty much perfect for my level of experience. I might have a really, really good shot at this job. Not to mention it would be really fullfilling work, a great opportunity to learn more in my field and would more than likely turn full time sometime midsummer.

And now I have the rest of the day to sit around and drink in a suit.

New band is really taking shape, interestingly enough the versions of songs from my solo project that we play sound different enough to be their own animal. Much dig. Internship is going well, Godzilla was AMAZING, and I start studying for my music major in the fall. And on top of all that, im doing sound design and voice over work on a cartoon. chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
