Today has been a bad day. noticed a weird lump in my wrist. probably carpal tunnel. my arm has been sore and it hurts to bend my wrist back even a little.

My setup sounds like shit today. The new pedal I was excited for has been a disappointment, but I think its because I just hate how everything sounds right now. All my other pedals sound bad too. I feel like I play bass like a guitar player, but I can't play guitar. My life has become monotonous. My wife is super unhappy. Never leaves the house. Never leaves her pajamas. Refuses to get a drivers license so I'm stuck driving everywhere. Refuses to get a job so I pay for everything. Hates when I play bass or go anywhere without her. Sometimes I think I should leave. Sometimes I'm scared to death that she will. Everything feels super pointless. I even feel like my son would do better with a different dad. My dad blew his head off when I was a kid. I'm starting to understand why.

Sorry. I don't usually get this heavy on here. Just needed to vent.

Tell your wife everything you feel, including about her behavior, but make sure to use "I" language and not "You" language. An honest man will tell her what he is afraid of, but a coward will keep it all to himself until he's had enough and just walks out. Don't walk out on your family; even if you physically stay there, withdrawing into yourself is a form of walking out.
