and the irony is that i never followed the Dead any farther than from the Bay Area to Sacramento, and never got any from Deadhead chix at all. i was too weird for them, i guess. i wish i'd spent the 80s doing something different, following R.E.M. or U2 or something. i basically missed the 1980s. Stone Roses? first heard them in the late 90s.

i have wasted my fucking life.

Damn, I was late on so much good music. It happens. Gives a good lesson to have open ears for new stuff, though.

I almost acted out last night. Almost, but didn't. It still scares me how tempted I was.

So I have been trying Match for a little bit without much luck. I've decided this is what I should write in my emails: "I spent like an hour trying to think of what to write in this email. So, fuck you."

I started watching Game of Thrones a week ago and now I'm in the middle of season 2 and I can't look at cute cat pictures on reddit anymore because there's spoilers everywheeerrrreeeeee

Although I guess in some respects it's hard for there to be spoilers when you know that pretty much everyone is going to die anyway.

Same.
Dunno how I'm gonna save up any money unless I get another job, and I can't work two jobs where one's overnight...I can't get used to this sleeping schedule.
Also I'm starting to have pain in my root canal'd and crowned tooth with every heartbeat.

Got this new colleague that I cannot get a conversation out of, he's a young, naive, super straight edge Evangelical. He doesn't even let me talk about work with him because he thought I was being a dick because I tried giving him some tips on a certain task.

The fuck am I supposed to do?

Buy the biggest dildo you can find, lube it up and corner him in the elevator. A couple of slaps to the face and maybe he won't be so stuck up.

All joking aside though, do you actually have to communicate with this guy to do your job? Otherwise I would just let him do his thing, not everyone is going to like you (for reasons justifiable or imagined on their part) and he sounds like a bit of a stick in the mud to begin with.

Unless you are his supervisor, it is not your place to give him tips how to do his job.

I do kind of disagree with that statement, especially when it comes to basic Occupational Health and Safety.

Ive been working in a specialized Industry (Orthotic and Prosthesis Devices) for atleast 5 and a half years, have been responsible for the entire business solo for at least a month and whenever my Boss is unavailable. He has been working for less than a month and is 5 years younger than me, he's a pretty fast learner but he's legally hired as an Assistant not a Technician. More importantly, our services are so varied and custom made, there's a lot of room for error and financial strain for mistakes. They're being medically prescribed for the patient's health so there's a real risk to be liable for any harm done to the patients.

I have spoken to my boss, so we'll see.

Now, I think that the whole situation is really funny.
