I used that as the jumping point for my research paper for ENG 101. (yeah, I'm 40 and back in college big deal so what you wanna make something of it?)

I got an A.

I got my diploma of music 2 years ago. Late in life study is the best. You just take it more seriously than you would of in your 20s.
Congrats on the A dude. :thumb:

Looking at Les Pauls.

Does £1100 seem too much for a 1990 standard? Also having a hard time tossing up between a 2008 in *slightly* better condition, or a 2006 with BK Mules already in for the same price of £1200.

What do I do?!

+1 for Contagious Graphics. Faster turnaround than stickerguy and good prices.

Borrowed a friend's Matchless Chieftain. 30 watts definitely is not loud enough for a metal show. I mean, it's loud, but I actually said out loud "is that all?" when I cranked it up full. I'm not one to blindly snobbify myself, only believing in huge amplifiers, but after experiencing beasts like Soldano, Hiwatt, Marshall, Matamp, you really do see the difference.

Considering selling a bunch of pedals to fund a new guitar. I really feel like I need to take the plunge and buy something genuinely special.

I would throw a 900 in the river for a superbass. Those early 900's are alright, but that superbass is a much cooler amp and a better pedal platform. The mv mod is probably easily reversible if you don't like it or just want to return it to stock. It's going to gain value a lot more than the 900 will as well.

Agreed with this 100%. I suppose in the end it's best to go with what comes closest to the illusive sound in your head, but I'd still go superbass all the way.

Also, for you folks who don't follow Khemmis on Facebookings, here's a pic of most of our live rig.

I've been rocking my Khemmis shirt a lot since I got it. Thanks for the beer cozy!

I wanted to make fun of the guy with 18 fuzz pedals but then I started counting my pedals and found 12 fuzzes, two distortions and a boost.

How the hell did that happen? And why was I looking at a quantum mystic earlier today...

Hanging out with Windhand tomorrow here in Baltimore. Stoked, cause I haven't seen them play since last year.
I think Garrett was finally given (or will be getting soon) the Hilbish designs Matamp clone. Curious to hear how he likes it compared to his original.
When my wife and I went down to Richmond last month, I dropped off a 6 band EQ to Parker to use on bass. Curious to hear his thoughts on it as well

that is the truth...kills every other distortion box out there!

On the subject of the 900 vs Superbass...I slept on the idea last night...on the one hand i need to stop buying shit as I've been doing a lot of that lately...also I going to buy a Matamp next year, so that will be number 1 and the 900 could be a backup...ON THE OTHER HAND...why have One great amp and another good amp, when they can both be great amps.

I've sent the guy an offer and some requests regarding waiting for me to sell my amp first etc...i'll see what he says...if he agrees, then its meant to be I guess (even though I don't believe that stuff), and that will be my justification for buying more stuff!

Sam, you're heading down a slippery slope there, my man....INTO SWEET DUAL RIG TERRITORY.

Also, Skully, so stoked about any Windhand related news. Really geared up to see them in a few weeks. Hopefully they're excited to be heading down here. We're starting to get into hot and steamy weather in October, so I guess they better get ready for that.

Studying later does make you more focused on getting it right. I have to present a quick lesson idea in a couple of hours and I'm stressing I'm gonna do it the right way. This shit would not have bothered me when I was in my twenties.
