Headed back home to Phoenix in the morning. I'm really excited to be back home with my family and buddies, but damn, moving out after living with a significant other for the first time is fucking weird.
But anybody going to Southwest Terror Fest in Tucson? I'm so glad I'll be back in AZ for it. Although, my brother is getting married that Friday, so I'll only make it for Saturday and Sunday. Bummed I'll miss 16 the most.

I thought about it because I really miss my Redbear sometimes but I've gotta save this cash so I can put out some vinyl. I've got my band's full length coming up and then if the stars line up, I'll hopefully be putting out a first time vinyl reissue of one of my favorite band's albums.

Based off the love it gets around here, I finally picked up a Naga Viper. Seems like its definitely best before other dirt. Diggin it for adding clarity when venturing up the neck. So I'm just wondering how you guys use it. where you put it in the chain, settings etc..

I put my Rangemaster clone before everything else. A treble booster is awesome for thick, low gain Stoner tones. It's what Sabbath used. I'm not one to say things like that, but bright tones are definitely not 'un-Doom-like'. Anything that boosts a preamp does the job, but the Naga Viper or my Sparkle Motion offer fatter sounds as well as the brighter, more cutting sounds that Iommi used. Awesome to have around. I don't use mine all the time, and I'm waiting for someone to release a better version, but for now my Sparkle Motion isn't going anywhere. It's just handy to have in your arsenal if you want a boost to fatten everything up but still retain great clarity.

Rehearsals in a small room with a 4x12 and a drummer who doesn't mind 'turning down', yeah. Otherwise, no, not in my opinion. Maybe if the rest of your band were all quiet themselves or the venue was a jazz club, but not a rock bar of any kind. But you could always run it into a PA system like so many guys do. :idk:

Thanks guys, sounds like I'm doing it right. pre Pharaoh and revelation is sounding pretty awesome. Seems like it will shine for certain parts.

No, unless you're in a non-heavy band. A drummer hitting the kit hard will drown out that amp; a bassist or other instrument in the mix as well will yield no guitars. For that price, you can get a LOT of rad amps, both tube and solid state, and not worry about being underpowered.
KHEMMIS. Doomed heavy metal. DECEIVER out 11/19/21 on Nuclear Blast.

GLACIAL TOMB. Misanthropic death/black/sludge. S/t debut out now on Gilead Media.

Don't wanna say anything that will jinx it until I get it lined up. I will say this though, they were from Atlanta and their drummer is who I have held every drummer in my bands since finding out about them to that standard.
