Got a VidFX Jacob Muff in the BST right now, super duper throwback to the original doom room where Vid was making effects at the time (not sure if he still is)

Exactly haha

I like it too. The drums may be a little more than what doom is used to, but it's quite good.
awesome signature with witty quotes from all you fuckers :)

The areas you'll most likely find yourself in for MDF are alright. Right around the MDF venues should be fine because of all the fellow fans around. I stayed at the Mt. Vernon hotel which was in a safe place and there's a good Irish Pub within walking distance. The harbor area is also safe because it's a touristy area and there's a decent wings/brewpub place there. Most of the hotels in Baltimore are probably sold out by now so you might need to stay outside of town and drive to the venue.

Oh, I wasn't talking like "safety" or anything, just wondering what there was to do to kill time between the days.

It's alright. I don't go into the inner city too much. I work on the outskirts of Baltimore. Wish I could be of more help haha
Hit me up if you want to hang while you are in town, I might be able to meet up with you duder. I doubt I will be able to go to MDF this year with the new Dirge baby, but I'm always down for ILF hangs

Yeah mang, I'll definitely shoot you a PM once the date draws closer.

The harbor areas and such are alright, there's a ton of cool places to hike and stuff in both MD and VA/the surrounding areas, and there's the aquarium

Question to those who might know, and have dealt with Matamp recently:

Do you reckon Matamp would build me a GT120? They're not on the site anymore, and I'm wondering whether I might be better off just buying a custom one off of them rather than just waiting for one of you lot/first church/amplifier worship/zac clowes decides to get rid of one

Thoughts?

It's a crazy tweakable super muff. I played one in the old hc dr tour box and it was fucking killer. Not sure which muff it's based on. He made a series that included clones of all the classics, so it's likely a mixture.

Go on a UK forum called Thefretboard and there is a guy there are two guys who work there/have worked there. The guy that works there is called Vanhayden...you can send him a message. But i do know they will build you a gt120...already asked him. The best thing about getting it direct you can have your name on the front panel...my mate has one...top left hand corner in small font...built for: xxxx

Also there is another guy on there called MJW amp, his name is Martin and he use to build amps at Matamp years ago and now has his own company MJW...he can build you some really tasty stuff too.

At least they don't do green tolex because otherwise I might have to just mail them all of my money forever. That shit is so played out by now but I'd absolutely buy a new one if I could.
