Whilst I was making my GT120 I decided to put the preamp into a pedal… I added a little hair and voila - Holy Mountain was born.
I omitted the FAC control as I felt it was a hinderance in pedal format.

Prowler in the yard is a favorite album of mine.

One of the top 5 of my all time favorites. This album is the one that got me into making a conscious effort to make sure that all of the tracks flowed well from one to the next. I can't listen to that album without listening to the whole thing. None of their albums have flowed that well since and I don't think they have come close to this with anything they've done before or since. The production on it is huge, especially for being recorded in a basement. Terrifyer had good songs but shitty sounding guitars and they have just started sounding thinner and thinner with each album after that... just like Mastodon and Lamb of God have done. This trend of shit sounding guitar tones in metal is one thing that really got me into more doom and sludge.

I agree with this. I really haven't listened to pig destroyer other than the pretty early stuff right after agoraphobic nosebleed. Just liked that band better. The split 7" with enemy soil is still so good.

Yeah, that one was awesome. I tend to like ANB splits more than full lengths. The split with Converge was really good as well as their split with Insect Warfare.

I dropped off that Fuzzrite at Serial Hawk practice tonight. They're hitting the road next week so you should probably see them when they roll through. They're fucking killing right now. Yes even more than before. I whipped it up as a gift to Will because he's done the layout for every release of our album for free. Even driving to his place of employment after hours so we could get some shit on a rush. Also I probably should've turned my phone sideways.

So a third label is putting out our record. 500 more on black vinyl and finally stepping into the '80s, one thousand Compact Discs. Holy fuck. I guess these guys have proper worldwide distribution, are going to do us a ballerass PR campaign and provide some sort of concrete 'tour support'. We'll see what those last bits end up meaning but seeing unchecked demand for this first record is really rad. Never woulda thought it.

Can't wait to see those guys on the 4th in Atlanta. That is also pretty rad about a repress and cassettes coming.

Will listen to the video clip you posted as soon as I get done with this new Inter Arma track. Holy shit the leads are fucking amazing on this thing. Makes me wanna go through and rewrite the lead in this new track we have. I feel inferior and should probably just stick to the riffing.

I know what you mean about leads Conky...have the same problem with latest band. The other guitarist keeps wanting me to do solos too and just think i sound like shit! I'm going down the "i cant't play interesting solo's, so i'll use a wah" technique!
