I've always like this quote:

Have to get an alpha done of this program by end of day tomorrow. What program you ask? Is it that one that the designer has only sent me designs for half of the materials? Yes. Yes, it is.

I've heard that's a side effect. I was on the max dose of it and it just made me really apathetic. I wasn't suicidal anymore but I also wasn't really happy you know? Pot ended up working way better for me in treating anxiety and depression and it's not like I am smoking all day, just a little bit in the evening. But it's hard to recommend it as it can certainly make things worse for other people. Have you found a good therapist? I found that to almost be more helpful than medication. I do realize not everyone has the time or money to invest in therapy though, I'm thankful my school offered it for free.

It's going to still be tough for you I'm sure but you'll pull through

Tried to get involved doing more creative/marketing stuff for my job and was basically shot down :(
Kind of just the nature of the industry we are in I suppose. Back to making phone calls.... :mope:

The NFL suspended Ray Rice for only two games after he was caught on video knocking out his fiancee (now wife) and dragging her through an elevator.

In contrast, they routinely suspend players for testing positive for pot for twice that amount of time.

Fuck those neanderthals in the face.

i hope he gets knocked down and paralysed next match so he gets to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair being punched in the face by his wife.
how would 'big' ray feel if another player beat his wife, mother, sister, daughter, unconscious? would he consider that player missing two football games an appropriate punishment?

and any football team that pays a violent misogynist meathead like this to represent them on a national platform is totally morally bankrupt and sending a clear message of contempt to those that consider violence against women intolerable.

'two missed games' is an insult to women everywhere.

Why isn't he facing domestic abuse charges?

I've had about a pint of whiskey in the last three hours, and I'm livid. However, because of the whiskey I'm not exactly sure if I'm justified in my outrage.

This last week I've been organizing a camping trip to hike the South Sister and visit the Pine Mountain Observatory. Really I've been wanting to visit the Pine Mountain Observatory since last fall when I found out where it was, hiking the South Sister was just an awesome way to spend the day before going to the observatory. The plan as I planned it was to camp Friday night at a campground near the South Sister trailhead and hike as early as we wake up. After the hike we were going to go to the observatory and camp across the street at the free US Forest Service campground, and then drive home Sunday.

I found out tonight they changed the plan to stay two nights outside of Bend; hike South Sister one day, get drunk in Bend that night, and drive home Sunday morning. This pisses the fuck off right now because I've spent a few hours planning this out to make it work for everyone's schedule so we could make it to both and they went ahead and made their own plans regardless of what I did. Now I just want to camp, hike, and visit the observatory by myself and let them do whatever the fuck they want. Because fuck them. They'll do what they want to do and I'll do what I originally wanted to do before inviting them

tldr: I'm mad but I'm not sure how much of that is because of whiskey or what my friends did.

lol, had an interesting comment on a cover I recently put up.
That was the worst cover I have ever heard. I'm sorry and i'm not trying to be negative but that was garbage. I laughed so hard during it because of how bad it was. Again I'm not trying to be mean but it was one of the worst things I have ever heard. Even the instruments sounded bad. I'm sorry but I don't think singing is your thing bro.

I mostly laughed it off and asked him specifically how I should improve as I do with most negative comments. Admittedly its really hard not to be deeply upset by what this guy said, especially with the amount of time and effort I put into my stuff. On top of that I don't usually get a lot of feedback since I'm basically an unknown. But I've learned to roll with the punches and try to be better from my mistakes.

But it still does suck. :(

If you look closely at what he wrote, you'll see that he doesn't say anything about your music at all. All he said was "it's bad," AND he's hiding from his abjectly negative criticism by saying "no offense bro" when obviously the only thing he means is offense. That is the sole purpose of his comment, regardless of his cowardly excuses that he's "not trying to be mean." Giving him the benefit of the doubt, he has a completely different set of values and taste in music, so even not liking it isn't very useful to you. Add that to the fact that he doesn't give you any examples of why he thinks it's garbage, and you have a frustrated, angry person who is deserving only of your pity and sympathy. People who give blankly negative comments--especially when they don't back it up--are typically victims of frustration in their own personal life. The only people who go out of their way to talk shit unthoughtfully about completely innocuous things (e.g. recording a cover song) are small, sad people. I'm not saying negative criticism is always bad and should always be ignored; it should be ignored just as much as positive critique. But I am saying that this guy is a dillhole, fuck 'em.

I wrote this up way more articulately earlier but accidentally closed out. Basically 1) he's trolling you and 2) even if he isn't trolling you, you should feel sorry for him.
