Can't wait for the ODB to get here.

The etches look SICK though, I take it the monkey of death is blame for those beautiful creations?

Also Presonus + Mac = recipe for awesomesauce with no issues
What DAW do you run?

FT Regular is like the Cthulhu + EQ + Boost
FT Deluxe is like the Cthulhu with more controls + 2 band EQ + Boost.

I use Logic Pro X on my Mac but I'm currently up shit creek without a paddle when it comes to a good interface. I've got an Apogee JAM that I can use with my old ass iPad or my iMac. I haven't set it up since I hooked up the new iMac last week.
Driver issues are rarely a problem for OS X with most of the audio products. That being said M-Audio did neuter a few things when they changed hands. This has driven me mad. I'm on the hunt for something new now just have to find some deals.
I actually like to use the Magic Trackpad in Logic. The gestures can do some nice things. I also like that you can use an iPad as a controller if you want.

Would a macbook be OK or would I need something bigger? I'd like to use something that's as easily mobile as I can.

How long did it take you guys to get with recording software? Half the stuff i dont understand because ive never recorded in a studio either, so the terminology is way over my head.

As do I. So easy to use and very powerful if you ask me.samzadgan wrote:I dont know what it is about me...maybe im just tech-idiot...i can never work out recording software and when i read up on it, it all just sounds so complicated thats its overwhelming. I dove in head first knowing next to nothing and it took about 6 months to get semi-fluid. Once you get the hang of how things work in general they all become easier to use as they all have the same premise just going about in different ways to get the desired result. Basic mixing is easy, its once you get into plug-ins / VSTs / effects that everything gets uber complicated.
