Unless you skate/bmx/fruitboot you might as well stop reading here.
There's this pretty big curved ledge going down a set of stairs in Oslo that has been there for 10-15 years. Everyone knows of it, but because it's on the stairs leading up to one of the most expensive and exclusive restaurants in Norway, no one has touched it because you'll get arrested and probably get the fine of your life. So at 3am, me and two buddies drive our car up there and use the headlights to light the ledge up. Camera's ready to shoot. There's a private party there, but we've been planning this for so long that we just had to go for it. We run out of the car, they get in positions and I run up the stairs. I wax it on my way up (little did I know that it was super fast even without wax). I bust my knees and my shins on the first attempt, but I couldn't feel a thing due to he adrenaline pumping through my body. When I get back up to the top I hear a security guard shout "Hey! You!". I had to run towards him to get enough speed, but I thought that it's now or never and I just went for it. Stopped 5 meters away from him before pivoting towards the ledge and getting onto it. It was so freaking fast, haha. My landing was a little sketchy, but it felt so good claiming that ledge. I rolled straight to the car where the camera guys had already taken their seats and we got the fuck out of there.
And now: A pale ale to celebrate before bed!

Ran 12 miles today! Half marathon training is going pretty dang well, 3 weeks to go, I feel good. Somehow managed to run that on just 2 slices of toast for breakfast so I got a bit slow towards the end. Definitely a lesson to be learned there.

Re: the happiness, excitement, and general contentedness thr
Today was my 2nd to last day of work for a large corporate retail store after working for them for over 8 yrs and only earning ~$.60 in raises. I finally finished college and got a full time job and a PRN position in labs in my city. I will be averaging more than 40hrs a week which will cut into music significantly but I will finally be able to start saving money and also building a modest home studio. I hope being so busy will encourage me to be more productive in my time off.
Life is too short for matching socks.
