Yeah, I'm all for that sort of thing if you've had some time to think about it and you are really committed to it.
The second thing you described there sounds bad ass....
But before you're about 20 you don't know much about anything. Well, most people don't.
I would posit that, given I loathe pretty much all of my 20s, that it takes even a little bit longer to get a clue.
Fuck, I feel like I'm only really starting to see how shit works now, instead of walking around with my head fully inserted into my rectal cavity.

Of course, my opinion should always be taken with a grain of salt and a heavy dose of
:oldrant: :oldrant: :crab: :crab: :crabl:

I don't regret my tattoos though, I thought about them and actually got them before it was the kewl kid thing to do and business men in their 50s started rocking koi carp sleeves. :cough: hipster :cough:

AND I WILL GET MORE.

But, I'm not very punk rock, so face tattoos and shit are lost on me.
Cool if that's your thing, but....kind of ruling you out of a lot of life possibilities/opportunities.
Which in itself is not cool, but hey, that's how people operate.
I'd love to get neck work and things done from knuckle to toe, but I know I'll never get a job in my areas of interest with that jazz. Which sucks.

I never called you names, so I hope you aren't referring to me. I was trying to be as polite as possible by saying that I was only expressing my opinion. I also complimented you by saying that I could tell from your posts here that you are an avid music fan, but I wrongly assumed that you weren't that versed in the progenitors of grunge.

Because Bush.

Yea I wasn't infering you did. Hell I know you wouldn't have gave 2 shits about my response, from all I've seen with your posts... you are an adult and this business on message boards ain't that important and just rolls off your back.

It's all good.. yea I know it's almost a guilty pleasure but I have no problem admitting to it, I thought their first and second albums were good.

So thank you and I appreciate it. I just took it wrong because yea I can understand because of Bush... I also like Big Wreck and Tonic which has nothing to do with grunge just were out close to the same time. Just something about them I enjoy. underlying melody or something.

My apologies to SLK.

Hell no offense taken! If I'm not being called an asshole or prick or something daily it's usually cause I didn't talk to anyone. I won't even remember it tmwr cause like I've said.. I've been called worst to my face and I've had practically everything under the sun insulted of what I've done because I am how I am. I don't ever give it a passing thought.

While those are undoubtably the most heavy and truest of DOOM riffs, it's not vintage Line 6 bro. Those digital circuits have to age like fine wine, to be vintage and collectible. You would normally pay upwards of $2500 for a rig such as this.

I don't regret any of my tattoos, but it's probably not coincidence that the number of tattoos I've had after age 30 is zero. I don't hate them now or anything, I just don't care about it at all anymore. I'm not a cool kid though, I feel (like most things) that I came a little too late or early for the cooler eras of it. I just have random tattoos up one arm, on my chest and on my upper back. Nothing connects, planning out a whole sleeve as one giant piece was not that common at the time and I certainly didn't have the money or the forethought for it when I was in my mid 20's. Almost everyone I know who has tattoos now either has one or two weird and/or meaningful ones or a ton of connected, highly artistic pieces that cover large portions of their body. I have no desire or intention to have any of mine removed, but if I woke up tomorrow and they all disappeared I wouldn't care.

If I had spare money to spend on tattoos, I'd spend it on music/recording gear or tools.

My feels exactly. I think it has something to do with being born in the early 80s. We're in some strange generational gap, where we can stand from the outside and see that everything and everyone fucking sucks (older dudes than me here about to charge in on their high horses, I can hear them mounting now. I know, I know....)

I'd love more gear, but I waste a lot of income on it instead of buying shit I actually need/use. At this point I'd like to finish my ink ideas.

It's one of those things. If it isn't really for you, or you can't make up your mind, don't get any.
Getting them for the sake of it is a sure path to regret.
Fashion is for dumb asses.

I think tattoos are rad, but I've never had the disposable income to devote to them.

my right arm is sleeved up all with a interconnected theme though I didn't get them all at the same time but I purporsefully kept the same theme. Also each one is meaningful to me. I also have one in the center of my chest which I have a meaning for as well.

I plan on getting more this xmas or in the months following.

I just got what I did as I could and because I wanted it. I have plans for about another 4 major ones. just haven't stopped or slowed down enough to get a new artist to do them plus massive gear hording took over the last couple of years.

This has been my problem lately.

Having the kids put the brakes on my plans, but hopefully I'll be out of those woods soon.

I don't believe in paying a lot of money for tattoos.

I know, you're thinking "dude must have some shitty ink." Nope. I just have some awesome friends.

Make friends, get tats. If you can't make friends with a competent tattoo artist, you shouldn't be playing music.

agreed totally with that. my whole arm was pretty much a hook up, he's moved away since then But occassionally comes in town. Oh I'd tip him and pay whatever he wanted.. it was always heavily discounted and I appreciate it. Was friends with him before he started tattooing so I didn't feel like a mooch.

Mine actually got taken away by school security because it was made from 2" steel link. Weighed a ton and I had to wear a super duty belt to keep my giant skater pants on, but it was rad. One end had my wallet and the other was bolted through a real 8-ball with punk rock spikes screwed all over it.
