I'm thinking it'll be alright with a hardware upgrade.

I had an AL-3000m for a while that I loved, it played as nice and felt as nice as any modern LP standard and far above any Epi I've picked up. If you get one of the baritones though go for one of the slightly more expensive ones like Dazed has (i.e; not the 2000 series baritone), on the cheapest ones they only move the bridge back not the bridge pickup so it looks a lil awkward and loses a lil crunch.

One of these days I'll pickup an Al-3000 again.... the only thing I didn't like was the stock EMG's but everything else was fucking killer.

Sweet, thanks AA. I'm thinking this one for some F# mayhem. Probably gonna put some black winters into it eventually and maybe upgrade the tuners when I get a chance.

it was very quick this time...4 hours all up from first signs of pain till actually delivery...unlike the last one which was about 40 hours. My wife, the trooper, as I like to call her...again had no drugs...just powered through it all and is now home resting and feeding him, whilst making sure the older brother doesnt do him any harm!

Fuck yeah man, congrats.

No prob! and yes that's one of the ones that has the correct placement of everything. I just wish it had inlays instead of dots. But that would be perfect for F# and black winters!

Anyone have ideas for writing synthesizers into fast and heavy music? My roommate and I are starting a new project that's like atmospheric blackened hardcore? Influences being predominantly Young and In The Way, Wolves In The Throne Room, Full Of Hell, Genghis Tron, His Hero Is Gone, etc... Currently the line up is me on guitar with an octave pedal/bass vi when I have the cash to get one, a drummer, and my roommate on vocals. We want to add a synth/keys player as opposed to another stringed instrument, but I don't know how to write parts for that. I'm currently doing an approximation with an Ipad, some apps and my pedalboard.

Dallas Thomas is my homie. I LOVED Asschapel, and his current band, The Swan King, is also seriously bad ass. He's playing guitar in Pelican now, too.

Dude can rip.

thanks everyone.

first full day and Dylan (the oldest) is starting relax into his new role as big brother...he hasn't hit him again, which is a good thing and his slowely getting closer to him without freaking out. we're just letting him do his own thing rather than force the younger brother on him.

Its a pretty good little unit...I got one when my first kid was born. Its a multifx unit made for people who like individual pedals. Basically, each screen/footswitch is one pedal, and when you tap the two most left, or two most right footswitches it scrolls over one, and you can have up to 6 different pedals. Each pedal has like 3 knobs that allows you set the pedal the way you would on a normal analog pedal. The dirt and fuzz and even amp sims are not great and i would never use them through an amp, but the modulation and delay/reverb is quite good. You could potentially have this plus a few dirt pedals and you would be good to play out loud with it...which i did for a while when I have my laney Ironheart...dirt was all amp and then this did everything else.

I'm just using it to plug my guitar into one end and headphones out the other, whilst still using it like a pedal board. Added usefull bonus stuff is tuner, looper, drum loops and a whole lot of other shit i wouldnt use.

highly recommend for messing around with...but dont expect doomish tones out of it...if I get time i'll do a quiet demo on my little laney cub.
