Guys. I kind of think this Ibanez with built-in Mini Kaoss pad is sweet as hell. I want to play some walk-job solo drone with it.

Skully needs to this idea and run with it. Start making Jazzcasters with this routing so while can get super weird with it. Change the built-distortion to a Dirge/Gloom Drive.

Dirgecaster KP1.

I'm not even trying to sell him that idea.... just want him to make it. :P :P :P

Also.

Lots of EQD love from the Pallbearer rig rundown if y'all haven't seen it.

Very jelly. I'm always on the lookout for one of the 30 watt heads, but when they pop up I has no monies in the gear fund.

Ever since Skip posted his new BADASCAN on the Instagrams, I've had big time gas for one. Dudes - tell me how they are different than the Pharaoh again. Is it LSTR eq and Pharaoh voicing, or the other way around?

Other way around, if I remember correctly. LSTR gain and voicing.

Touche. I love the huge openness of the Pharaoh, but the hybrid may be just about the best muff for me. Does the badascan cop Pharaoh toanz as well?

one would assume if it has Pharaoh voicing then it should be just a case of turning the gain down a little to go from LSTR to Pharaoh...but one could be very wrong too

so i spent today with my new gadget...Zoom G3 and headphones...i managed to get some doom tones out of it. I was surprised, as the last time i had it, it didn't get close, but it must be something with the EQ that I missed last time.

if i get time tomorrow, i might do a short little demo on the lane cub...

I had a Badascan. I loved it but I ended up getting rid of it because I wasn't using pedals as much and more amp gain in my old hardcore band at the time. I think I sold it to one of the doom room regulars... Maybe Parker, I can't remember. I miss it something fierce and bet it would fucking rip with this new setup I have now.

Also just scored a hard case for my Jazzmaster and ESP on Primaxe for $125 shipped with their 21% off code.

Chicago is on the itinerary as well. We're just not big enough to draw a decent crowd on a weeknight in Grand rapids. Sorry buddy.

It's all good. Grand Rapids is a tough place for mid-level(??) or whatever bands that are headlining tours. Full of Hell & Weedeater brought in about 150. I've seen Young Widows bring in like 75. Baroness and Coliseum sold the place out. Torche played to 80. It can be weird. But the weeknight thing is generally more true than not.

Grand Rapids is a cool city but is much further from all of the other "bigger-isn" cities in Michigan. Detroit gets all of Metro Detroit, Flint, Saginaw, Bay City and Midland plus Lansing and then pulls from Toledo, OH and Windsor, Ontario. Definitely more stable when it comes to making sure you get some money off of merch sales, etc.

On top of that... Grand Rapids in the winter time can be the fucking pits.

This is a support tour, but the headliner is at around the same level as us so...

I actually bought your supercollider, but I did get in on the first run of badascan. Love that thing. It's pharaoh eq with lstr gain. It rules. The difference is that the clipping options offer led instead of ge. Led sounds great. I usually use it boosting another pedal, so it's mostly the pharaoh options I use. But alone it sounds amazing. I don't think it's quite the same to just turn the gain down to sound like a pharaoh, but it's not terribly far off. Lstr gain is just a bit different.

Those are so snazzy I don't know what to do about it.

Thanks for the continued BAT wisdom, yall. I may have to do some serious thinking and clip watching and see if I should pester Mark about his willingness to build me one.
