That's right. The supercollider is pretty awesome too.misterstomach wrote:I actually bought your supercollider, but I did get in on the first run of badascan. Love that thing. It's pharaoh eq with lstr gain. It rules. The difference is that the clipping options offer led instead of ge. Led sounds great. I usually use it boosting another pedal, so it's mostly the pharaoh options I use. But alone it sounds amazing. I don't think it's quite the same to just turn the gain down to sound like a pharaoh, but it's not terribly far off. Lstr gain is just a bit different.conky wrote:I had a Badascan. I loved it but I ended up getting rid of it because I wasn't using pedals as much and more amp gain in my old hardcore band at the time. I think I sold it to one of the doom room regulars... Maybe Parker, I can't remember. I miss it something fierce and bet it would fucking rip with this new setup I have now.
Also just scored a hard case for my Jazzmaster and ESP on Primaxe for $125 shipped with their 21% off code.

I bought it from you and loved it, but was using the Pharaoh and it for the same purpose all the time so one had to go. I can't remember who I sold it to.conky wrote:I had a Badascan. Ever since Skip posted his new BADASCAN on the Instagrams, I've had big time gas for one. Dudes - tell me how they are different than the Pharaoh again. Is it LSTR eq and Pharaoh voicing, or the other way around?
thanks, I got the 100w. just happened to pop up and they accepted my 350 offer, best part is they are in new orleans so if this one is busted like the last two I got I'll drive over and beat them to death.
The funds wasn't so much a problem since I did get refunded for the Sunn Concert lead that was frrrt and the Madison Divinity that was double frrrt. basically turned around and bought that red face concert lead from the pawn shop, bought a tons of bits and pieces for cab construction (corners, tolex..) and this Laney. yay.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Pretty sure the 8 knobbers with the channel switching are series 2. But my understanding is that all things pro tube/AOR/preAOR get a bit messed up.
Hot tip, when you get it and you want to check the bias, do it with the knobs pulled. It will read way too cold and you may bias wrong if you do it with the knobs in.
Killer deal man.

That's a very late Series One. The Series Two they moved one of the pull boosts and added a green led to the front.

I'll be posting a bunch of shit in b/s/t soon. Badascan, Coven, a couple different supercolliders, a doom bloom, shit... I don't even know what else. Guitars and amps too, but those will most likely sell locally first. Retirement sale, fuck it.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
please don't. that was rough tonight seeing a superior instrument come apart like that but you are to damn good not to keep on. I don't know what else is going on but please keep making music. I feel a little stupid saying this but, without any bullshit or shame on my part, I can definitively say that you are one of the (rare and valuable) people around here who really fucking gets good music and are an inspiration to me on many levels.

Oh yeah. Thats pretty much why I got rid of it too. Sounded great but at the time I wasn't using it enough to justify keeping it.pelliott wrote:I bought it from you and loved it, but was using the Pharaoh and it for the same purpose all the time so one had to go. NO!!!! Don't quit playing. You'll regret it. If you're doing a gear purge though I wants that Badascan.assface jackson wrote:I'll be posting a bunch of shit in b/s/t soon. Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
New Pickup Day!!!
Got the Black Winter installed and holy fuck, this thing rips. Not too far off from the Duncan Distortions in my other guitars. Maybe a tad bit brighter (but that could be the alder body and ebony fretboard) but they still have the nice mids and growl of my other pickups. I was worried about the cleans but they sound fantastic. They get a lot warmer when you roll back the volume a little bit too which is nice considering this is a one pickup guitar with no tone knob so there is still some nice variation in tone to be had from it. I probably won't go swapping the DD in my other guitars for these, but if I come across a good deal I'll be sure to pick some more up. Really thinking about putting one of these in the neck of my LP to see if it brightens it up a bit.
