Hiccup in the ilovefuzz system? Site was down for a bit again.

I put together this to replace the old front panel for my 2203 build. Nothing too fancy, keeping it simple any suggestions as to what it may need?

That sucks that you are selling off gear Skip. At least you will have the duniwch stuff as your permanent backup. You seem to find good deals on gear though, so when the guitar calls to you again you should be able to rebuild your arsenal.

That matamp one knobby makes me think of the sword rig run down. I'm pretty sure they were the ones who had a one knob amp.

I think it was his ultimate pedal amp idea? Basically the tone is frozen forever and it's a blank slate, awaiting a board to create sonic mayhem. I dig it as getting knobs bumped in transit is a pain in the ass.

Amp plate needs more NASA logo, other than that, pretty slick. I'd want the knobs spread out more evenly but if layout and functionality dictates, go with that of course. At first the input on the right bugged me and I couldn't figure it out until I realized ALL of my amps put it on the left, or middle. 2203's are the shit man. Had a lot of fun tonight with the Verellen take on it. We're just getting into making a 2 song dealio for Terrasone and it was sounding especially nice for whatever reason. Kinda sad we we were just mainly recording the drums.

Ok ok...its more the font i was thinking...i still want it to say Matamp. I did toy with the idea of something else...kids names, band names, colors etc...but im happy with keeping it as matamp.

The font can be the stck standard bowtie style, or the 3d cinemascope, traditional underscore, or Orange type font.

Whiskey's idea about old english font is good too...but just now i thought of the Masters of reality font...that could be cool

oh nice man...thats really cool!!!

the way i would do it would be just a black outline of the letters...but that gives me a really good idea of what it would look like.

One knobber is a cool idea but i figure having the tone controls is still a better idea since the room will change on tour every night and you might need to tweak the knobs a bit to make the amp sound "right."

Thanks for your comments on the amp plate. I put the earth on there as I made that as my LOGOS logo and the font is what I used on the logo too. I made my own version of the earthbound style logo, always liked that game. Still not to sure for the name so it is kinda a place holder.

As for the knobs, they have to be where they are as the holes are already in the chasis since I am repurposing the 6m100 build I got from weber a while ago. So the layout it like a super lead/super bass or a jmp. Like this guy but with metal switches instead of rockers:

Eh its the life of a flipper for me  I do find good deals on gear and I'm a rather efficient sniper.

I've gotten no interest in Randall yet, at all... so I might have to wait and see if I have enough left over on my tax return for a new kit or maybe just new shells. I can order the same shells all the boutique makers use (Keller Shells) from Saluda with precut bearing edges and predrilled hardware mounting holes so I might go that route and just stain / clear them myself and then assemble them myself. Wouldn't be the first time I've painted a drum kit as I redid my old Gretsch Club mod in matte black to match teh black hardware and it turned out really well. I still have a couple gretsch club drums hanging around and I'd just need one toms worth of lugs and rims to build the kit I want so I might go this route regardless so I can get exactly what i want.

I've got a 6" bell disc from Saluda. They hit me up when I was drumming for my old band and asked me to try it out. That little bastard ruled. I sold it off once that band broke up but I ended up getting another one not long ago. Let me know how the shells work out from them if you do go that route. I might end up doing that for a snare if it isn't too much of a pain in the ass.

I've always wanted to try their cymbals, one of these days I might.

If I do go this route I will let you know how it goes, my only issue is they don't list 26" shells on their site (I know keller makes them so they probably just need to special order them). So my end goal is these sizes:

(diameter x depth)
26x20 kick
20x16 floor tom
14x12 rack tom
14x8 snare

Dark Oak stain with semi-gloss clear, black lugs, and chrome hoops. Should be sexy as hell and sound like heaven. :yay:

Where you there last night? I was there for a growler fill at around 5pm and again for pints at 10pm or so. I seem to be there a lot, since I live 375 yards from it. (Praise Satan.)

I've always wanted an amp with just a giant volume knob and nothing else since that's how I run my Matamp's anyways. Then I thought, instead of a huge knob, it should have one of those throttle handle things like on airplanes with little lights on the side that as you turn it up illuminate as you throttle your amp to 10.
