New York is great, just don't get furniture off the street or from other people unless you are totally sure there are no problems. We are pretty sure our roommate brought them in because she bought a bed from someone else in the building. It is just me and my gf in the new apartment and we are renting from the owner so we have much better control over everything. NYC is a city where there are a lot of trade offs and whether you like the lifestyle or not. Some people really like it, some people hate it. I love it here and don't really want to live any where else. Always have shit to do, so many good shows, food, etc. I don't need to own a car although my gf just got hers for her job and she will be starting school soon. Parking is super shitty though even though we are out in queens. I lived in Baltimore and DC before this so I am used to having to move the car a lot but my gf isnt and it stresses her out.

Summit used to live here. Christian was up here for a bit. He can probably give you his southern boy perspective.

Also Nick, I don't see the hm2 updates. am I missing it somewhere?

Yeah Josh left a while ago, but he's lived out of state for quite a while anyways. Now Scott and Mike are doing vocals.

It's ok skip. We still love you.

I'm not giving up hope. I know the main issue is holiday stress, give it a week and everything will be back to normal and I can ease my way into it. I can't pass up the chance to play in both my favorite local bands.

Technically, too... we'd be on the same label

If I wasn't in the band, I'd already be living up there.

There's no place on Earth quite like it.

Saw these whackadoo looking speakers on eBay this morning. Anyone have any insight on them? My (beer) gut is telling me that they probably don't work very well.

I fuckin love new york...been there on holidays a few times, favourite city for me. But i also love london, which also suffers from a similar polar view of love it or hate it...again, i really love it. So much history and things to do...but also...fuckin Mice and Rats!!!

We've had mice in our flat for the last 6 months, which is from the building next door. A few weeks ago they finally came in and blocked all the holes...and since then we've had one mouse thats been living with us...always saw it at night coming out of my sons room and towards the living room. Last night, the fucker came into the living room and we trapped it...we cornered it behind my 4x12...my wife moved the cab and it sprung out...i managed to hit it with the corner of my boot...which was enough to kill it.

Ordinarily i get really upset about killing anything, even a fuckin fly brings up moral issues for me...but i was not feeling any remorse whatsoever...i think my fatherly protective instincts kicked in.

We think that was the last one, but we'll know for sure over the next few nights.

I just feel so relieved that my son doesnt have to sleep in a room with a mouse!

Figured I'd get a quick answer here. I just want to be sure about something.

So I got a Sunn Sorado yesterday and it feels so good to have a tube amp again. I'm looking at the speaker jacks on it and one says '8ohm speaker' and the other says '4 ohm external speaker.'

So I'm wondering is this saying there's just one 8 ohm and one 4 ohm jack? Or that you're supposed to use the 8ohm one first and if you use the second one the total load is 4 ohms? I've got two 8 ohm cabs so I'm hoping it's the latter.

Ireland has had a massive rodent influx too. I don't know where they're coming from but we finally killed the last of a family in our small farm house-type home. It's an old building with endless little hideouts for them to escape to, and we horde food like nobodies business. We could survive a zombie apocalypse better than most. We have food, our own water supply, shelter and we're miles away from mass civilization.

At first we tried using humane traps that caught the mouse without it being hurt or killed. After a few weeks of them failing and finding new holes in biscuit packets—which we had to throw away of course—we finally gave in and bought deadly traps. A few weeks later and they were all dead. I don't mind creatures living in my own as long as they find their food elsewhere and don't shit and piss on my worktop, which they started doing. They started it!

Edit: After finally finding a picture of what the damn Ext. speaker jack looks like, this is how it works:

- Can plug one 8 ohm cab into 8 ohm speaker output only.
- Can plug one 4 ohm cab into 4 ohm Ext. speaker output only.
- Plugging a speaker into the the 4 ohm Ext. Speaker jack works as a switch and disconnects the 8 ohm tap from the O.T. and connects the 4 ohm tap to both output jacks are in parallel so two 8 ohm cabs can be connected at once.

Thank you so much, I looked through some Sunn forums but couldn't find it. :thumb:

I agree with all the hatred of New York. Was only there 2 days while on tour and it was everything horrible that I thought it could be... aside from actually getting robbed or killed.

I think I would enjoy visiting New York for a few days. But Minneapolis already has too many people for me, I'm trying to attain semi-hermit status.
