are you refering to the note i put up? if yes, then its good to know that it has a name...to be honest i have very limited musical knowledge...i only starting doing these stretchy notes because i saw a guitarist on youtube doing it...then adding the middle finger was just me trying add other stuff to it...thats how i get the majority of my playing techniques from as I dont really like doing covers either.D.o.S. wrote:Fuck that, Summit.
I have tiny ass hands (which is part of the reason I play bass primarily) but that Root-6th above looks pretty interesting. I'm gonna avoid using 'tab talk' as I'm trying to really commit to knowing, rather than 'knowing' more theory this year.
Which is incredibly useful now that I make noise all on my lonesome.

That's not a friend if you let him borrow stuff and he's basically demanding you pay him to get it back. There is no friendship there, you show up with back up and take your shit back. Or you tell him he's got 3 options; 40, 45, or 50.... and its not dollars its caliber.ryan summit wrote:not to get completely shitty and negative

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
That's not really "the name", just that 1-5 part of it is the root note and the 6th. The same way 1-3 (aka the power chord) is root fifth, and 1-3-3 would be root-fifth-octave.samzadgan wrote:are you refering to the note i put up? if yes, then its good to know that it has a name...to be honest i have very limited musical knowledge...i only starting doing these stretchy notes because i saw a guitarist on youtube doing it...then adding the middle finger was just me trying add other stuff to it...thats how i get the majority of my playing techniques from as I dont really like doing covers either.D.o.S. wrote:Fuck that, Summit.

As for what that chord would actually be called.... I don't have any idea off the top of my head.

Don't call him back, go straight over there and get your shit. Do you own a baseball bat? Axe handle? Broom handle is ok in a pinch, but bring backups.ryan summit wrote:not to get completely shitty and negative

The inside story is that they're seriously understaffed at the moment.
They fired one, one is AWOL, Jeff's wife is ill currently, and Hayden is part time, so it's not been going so well

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I thought I was done buying amps after that Model T, but while looking for a cab on CL I lurked a YBA-1A in Portland (since my band is doing a NW weekend this Fri-Sun) and I'm already planning on meeting up with the guy before our show. Why can't I shut it off!!!???
But on the upside, I've always wanted a 1A. I've had a YBA1 and it was just a hair too quiet and mushy. I had a YBA3 and it was too dull and clean. So I'm hoping the 1A fits juuuust right. But I still need a cab, Goddamn it. Now I'm broke again.

Yeah! Our Seattle show is with Heiress and Gaythiest @ the black lodge. I don't have individual fliers, but this is the weekend thing:D-Day wrote:Chiller, are you coming to Seattle? Did you list your dates anywhere on here?

Would love to meet anyone from here if near you!!!

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Oh cool! I was going to that anyway. John from Heiress is the stage manager at El Corazon and a good buddy for a few years now. And I think Jerad from Old Iron is playing bass in Heiress now too. Gaytheist are also buddies. We've played with them a few times. Anyway though this thing with the dual shows at the Vic and Black Lodge is kinda the coolest shit going in this town right now. Black Lodge is an all ages DIY space with no alcohol for sale and right next door is the Victory Lounge where the grown ups can get juiced. Much fun is destined to be had. I can't wait!
