Been gone a while - initially due to the festive season but I ended up in limbo because of a car accident!
Anyway, I hope everyone is well and I'm going to play catch up on the thread…. I see a lot of reading is in order!
For now though, I would like to leave this with you…. (there is a second cab but I felt the half stack looked cleaner)

Nick you have just inspired me to learn new shit. I was just wiring that Viper the other day and thinking to myself "this grounding to the back of the pot is sloppy and fucking corny, there has to be a better way". Now I am going to find that better way.

oh yea my man. I would suggest a star grounding point that it sent to the jack ground. Might be easiest to go to a pot ground lug or whichever has the most amount of space to put all the leads for the grounds. Ideally if you had space in the cavity you could create a ground point that would be the star. That is proper grounding.

Best Torche song ever. Last time I saw them was on the Songs for Singles tour, which is good but not really why I listen to Torche, but Tarpit Carnivore saved the whole night (and so did Big Business, actually).

That tour was absolutely absurd. Helms Alee, Big Biz, and Torche all just bringing it.

Steve stood at the soundboard talking shit while BB did their "soundcheck," which consisted of the 3 members doing bird calls into their mics and that's it. Jared practicing rock n roll kicks and ordering us to kick the person next to us in the face in the name of rock n roll. Steve throwing a wig to an incredibly fat, shirtless man who jumped on stage and danced during In Return, and then he belly flopped onto the front row of the crowd. It was the most fun I've ever had at a show.

I'm I'm disbelief that the guy who invented and makes the ABlaster just didn't use one on a new amp purchase. That has shattered my whole world.
For the record it will be one of two pedals I'm keeping. Got an estimate on the cost of my surgery yesterday. The put of pocket was way higher than expected. So everything must go.

I agree about that Ric! Square edges on guitars are not my favorite. It's been real nice getting back to a beveled top after the Yammy and Ibanez LP style construction.

Well if it'll solidify your reality any I will mention that both of the fuzzes I used through the VTM the other night were of my own device and are intended to become products. One very soon!

And Popemeister, it is a fucking HONOR to know that in the face of true financial hardship which is causing you to absolutely need to sell off most of your gear, that my humble little fuzz box is one worth keeping. Would you think less of me if told you that just pondering this makes me a little misty? To have my work be genuinely valued by a fellow human being is really the only thing I even want. fuckin WOW! That looks sweet! And that's coming from a serious tolex fan. Also while I've got you here those Holy Mountain guts are beautiful. Sorry to hear about the accident though and I hope you're healthy dude.

I really need to try the first one. I've only heard Harmonicraft and Meanderthal. I prefer Harmonicraft greatly.

I was thinking of screwing down a three spot tag strip to avoid overcrowding of pot lugs. Still brainstorming for the clean solution...

Also it took five months to pay for and now work has officially started. This is my real new amp.
