So Peavey turns 50 tomorrow and to celebrate Im unveiling my monument to Peavey...PEAVEY HENGE. While its not 100% complete, its complete enough to unveil, Im waiting on one more head, even though I have plenty, and a Phase Wizard from Hex cabs to control it all. But anywho...Im able to use the empty first floor of the warehouse I practice in to erect PEAVEY HENGE and my 2 piece, Galactic Hatchet, is playing our first show. I dont even care if no one shows up, this is gonna be a good time because I only have to move the henge like 100 feet and theres a freight elevator so no stairs!!!

But if anyone is in the Milwaukee, WI area or willing to drive, come celebrate Peaveys 50th with me and my amps, and BYOP, bring your own Peavey!!!

Got some news from the vet. My cat's surgery went really well and she gets to come home tonight. What a relief. The smallest thing happens to my cats and I freak out so I was a little worried this time to say the least lol

Zack Wild Chorus sounds shockingly good. They can be had without the horrid graphics as the 'Analog Chorus' or some such shit.

Thanks for the Torche/Floor advice duders. After hearing their new track a little while ago, I needed more of that happy/heavy in my life.

Midnight stack is fucking bonkers.

D's amp brings the class and snazz.

Mojo for the kitteh.

Just packed up my Whetstone to ship out tomorrow. I has sad

They are done up so if they ever need to be moved or whatever you don't have to unload the vinyl you just flip it up and carry it with the handles drilled in. I'm bout to go load them up

Thanks for the good vibes guys. She's home now and resting. She's got a big ugly scar but she's been eating and purring and seems happy.

oh yea my man. I would suggest a star grounding point that it sent to the jack ground. Might be easiest to go to a pot ground lug or whichever has the most amount of space to put all the leads for the grounds. Ideally if you had space in the cavity you could create a ground point that would be the star. That is proper grounding.

Just QFE once I figured this out, everything got easier and cleaner. IMO this is THE way to do it now. Night and day difference, along with proper shielding, in a couple of guitars I re-wired, and the ones I have put together all are done like this.

I still solder the bent leg to the back of the pot, one wire will come from the eye of the bent leg to the star point. Thinking about it now, that's not even necessary?
I feel like it's just one of those things I do because "that's the way it's done" and I hate that reason.

MOJO TO KROSIS CAT! FULL POWER. GO!

The Midnight amp/cab looks perfect. Sucks about the accident m8, hope you're not to banged up and nobody else was fucked. bought to go peep those aforementioned gutshots :thumb: Still planning on a full pre version? Been getting to hear lots of meatsmoke pre lately in both bands and really love it as a tool for making an amp crush. yours sounds like it would be better for guitar.

Darren, no KVLT love? I should let you borrow my butcher. It's only lightly modded and I think it would jell with you. You can't have it though haha.
bet that 60 sounds pretty gnar.

so, i'm fishing for opinions here...as some of you know the 80's LPC Silverburst is a dream guitar for me...but reality is that there wont be a time that i will be able to afford it, and to be honest I wouldnt want to sell anything i had to buy one as i really like the guitars that i have at the moment. I think the Silverburst is one of those things that i just really really like rather than need.

so an option has come up which would be a fraction of the cost and would be very similar. There is an Epi silverburst for sale, no pickups, which i could probably get for about £150. Then there is a guy locally who re-finishes guitars with nitro - his actually done a few real custom re-finish jobs, and he said he would do the re-finish with a proper tear-drop silverburst for about £200. The final cost would be to convert the headstock, because i really dont like the Epi headstock shape, and that would cost another £80.

so all up, we are talking about £550.

I have spare pickups that I could put in it, and they are really good quality pickups so the guitar would sound good...and if the Epi is a nice one, then feel is there. the one thing that bugs me, is that its not THE one.

On the one hand, it fits the bill and may squash my silverburst GAS...on the other hand, ill never be happy with it and it will be a waste of money.

to add more indecisiveness, next year is my 40th and the wife has been talking about trying rally the family to raise funds for me to buy something special...but we are not a rich family, so even with the 40th thing, its not going to be enough to buy a Gibson Silverburst, but may get me a third of the way there...

They're tinted. I did find a tire iron, a half a roll of duct tape and about 8 feet of 550 cord so I'm pretty sure rape has been made in there a time or two before I got it.
