Re castors and skis on cabs: aren't there those snap in/out castors? You could drill the recess into the ski, snap em out when playing so you still get your stage hugging bass response, put em back in to load out.

they exist. I just don't use em. I'd put em in if a client requests that, but if I'm putting on castors I rather they be permanent cause otherwise they'll be lost.
I actually did get asked if I could do some folded horns in a cab. I told em yes and gave em a quote. Ain't heard back.
and truth be known I'll run the 2 612s and 2 415s and still use 2 412s cause I can.
also interesting note the way I normally load the oversided cabs into my truck. I turn it on the side, get in the truck on the tailgate, and reach down picking up the cab with one hand from the handle directly into the bed and turn around sitting it.
