can't sleep - lying here in bed after waking up an hour ago and trying to fall back asleep without any stimulus. Luckily I don't have anywhere to be until Monday, but being wide awake at 4 still isn't cool.

Right now I've just finished for the year. Working on a Grad. Dip in Education. Specialising in Early years, but eventually I'd like to end up in Special Ed.
Prior to that, my undergrad was 2 years in Arts majoring in Sociology and Psychology before jumping straight over to finish my bachelor's in Behavioral Science (nice way of saying Psychology).
I did a Grad Dip. in Arts after that doing Philosophy.
Last year I did some Lit. subjects through OUA. I really enjoyed that, so I might go back and do some more later in life.

My HECS/HELP debt is fucking ridiculous :picard:

Oral exams are the most stressful but they are often the most rewarding. Hang in there.

Rutracker to the rescue! Sometimes. Man though, Russians are the best pirates. I reckon half the country just lives on the internet because they live in some horrible, snowy, industrialised hellhole where all you can do in the real world is get drunk with terrible people and keep a diary of your STD initiated genitial rot (yes, I'm over generalising here for effect). The amount of times I've struggled to find a torrent that didn't have 0 seeders and was like 6 years old only to find the entire discography of the band on rutracker is ridiculous. Especially true for Math-y stuff. Why do they like Math so much?

^ Literally every time somebody listens to my mathy band on last.fm it's some random person from Russia.
How did they even find it, I have no idea. And yeah aside from what.cd (which I never use because maintaining a good ratio in Australia without topping over data limits is near fucking impossible if you're not rich) rutracker is the best for obscure shit. The bitrate and metadata is still a bit shoddy often but it's better than nothing.

In Mother Russia, many parents were left over mathematicians and engineers working on Soyuz Space program.
When economy fell apart, people get angry.....but, they are still wanting some intellectual food for thought with their rage, I am thinking.

(I have no idea what actually goes on in Russia, but FUCK, I really want to go there.)

Me and the missus had to make the decision today to have our little cat put to sleep tomorrow. He is really old, gone blind, has dementia and walking around in circles. It's kind of like the lights are on, but no one is home. What pisses me off is that it will be the third one of our fur babies we have lost this year. First was our other cat Mr Sylvester. He got bitten on the face by a Tiger snake earlier in the year. Went so quick. Died in my arms. Then Scruffy the dog. He got cancer of the bladder. So he had to get put to sleep. And now Eeyore the toothless wonder cat. I don't really know how much more sadness we can cope with. They are our children. It is cutting us deep loosing them like this.
