I've been working on three huge projects for weeks and still feel like I under performed in all of them. What's the line between being succinct and being sparse? I have no fucking clue now. Studying and working full time are tearing me apart, and my hobbies are suffering, I don't draw anymore and I can't even play my own songs on guitar. Post graduate school is the worst educational experience I've ever gone through, I'm barely aware of its worth now if I become a shadow of who I am. Even worst is letting down my professors, people who are legends in their fields and were interested in my papers. Goddammit, I was never one to crumble under pressure.

Hopefully it'll get better once I'm done. I'm sorry for ranting.

I feel you dude. Honestly it might be better to focus on school, since you're already there. Not saying you should do this, you should do whatever you want, but it's something to think about. I've been stunted with my musical hobbies because I don't feel like I can put in as much time as I would want while I'm in school/working.

Yeah, which is why I'm letting it happen, there's always time to get better at old hobbies. I wrote that when I was at a breaking point, so it's a bit darker than I intended, now that I had time to cool off once again see why I wanted to go through with my master and then doctorate. Studying Cybercrime is pretty cool! But there's so much that changes so quickly that it's incredibly mindboggling.

In more than one occasion an entire class's worth of teaching have gone to waste halfway through the semester because of advancements in technology, really created some chaos amidst the faculty.

Public school, yup! My school has a pretty good rep on criminology however, and research ties to both the US Federal Department of Justice and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, which is good for my type of research.

I'd assume so, I have a home premium not some professional edition. I've rebuilt my parent's PC and have reinstalled windows multiple times on my own PC after harddrives failing.

It's been a terrible year for computers for me.

I often reply to the retards trying to lowball poorly (like half off of my very decent price) with a "Of course, I'll also throw in a blow job and a Mars bar for your convenience!".

Funnily, most of them ask if I'm serious. And some have received this reply more than once. And still don't get it.

The worst are the people who think that because they buy from a US dealer and gamble on avoiding the taxes by committing fraud, local used prices should reflect that. Once one kept shooting me offers for 10 days from half off my used price to 15% under. I was so glad to tell the bastard the pedal was sold for my original asked price. The guy was like "well some people like getting screwed you should be ashamed of yourself". So cute when they try with their high moral standards and smartness.

Haha. I got a guy who's been "bidding" $300 less than the asking price for a guitar I'm selling for three weeks now. Every two or three days I get an email. If you really want a guitar that bad, you can borrow a little money. I'm all for a good haggle, but there's a limit. If the person wanting the pedal said "hey, I've only got $140, can we work something out?" I wouldn't mind slicing the price a bit, holding it for him or taking some bulshit cables or something as a small trade. But when they just bluntly throw out a sum that's close to 50% of what I'm asking, I kindly tell them to fuck off. This time my respons was: "You bid $95? Then I bid you farewell"

Totally. Often it's possible to shave a little off the price by using an alternative shipping method or even using another means of payment than Paypal to make things work.

But asking half off is not the best way to get a deal.
