Crazy fever last night. Fucking virus! I'm puking and shitting like there's no tomorrow. Suppose to get on a 8 hour train ride in two days. Looks like christmas might be cancelled. I should buy some gear...

I have the same thing with anxiety. It's just how my life will always be, to some extent. The worst is when you've been okay for a while in it just kicks in super bad. It's hard to cling on to the good times and remember why you should keep on going. But it's part of who I am, and for some fucked up reason I don't think I'd like it if it just went away forever overnight. Many great moments in my life have had to do with angst, either it's writing or just overcoming a situation when my panick attacks are at their worst. I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong.

Yesterday on our employee website I found an editorial of someone working here justifying CIA torture and I just said fuck it and left after working for an hour and a half (rather than 9). I'll still get paid for the whole day too

Seriously though, this place is full of scumbags.

At least we have a Facebook group where people talk about weird shit they do in their cubes, their crushes or a recent post about how allegedly a bunch of my coworkers like getting their assholes eaten out.

That would be weird considering most of the people I work with have a good 30 years on me. There might be two people within 10 years my age. Exclusively old white republican dudes. The only co-worker I like just talks about how stupid this place is and how he hopes he gets hit by a bus so he doesn't have to come back. Also like Sleep and Electric Wizard, he's cool.

I had a wonderful night of playing D&D with some great friends and afterwards proceeded to have a fucking 4 hour long talk session with a friends younger brother (who is also a friend and I've know him forever) who has OCD. He is terribly incoherent, extropolates even the smallest comment to the point when the original content isn't even recognisable, is egocentric in the way only the most insecure people can be, lashes out violently at his environment when he is unable to express himself properly and straight up cannot handle conflict. I think his brother and myself may have been able to convince him that therapy is a good idea. Yeah, no shit. Remind me why I'm considering becoming a therapist again? I mean, I love the kid but he's a constant reminder that although I am dysfuntional I can discern the conflicting realities of "real me" and "depression me" very clearly. What measures do you take to get someone like that to see people and the world through less twisted and cynical lense?

Sounds ADHDish to me (this definition of ADHD mind you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyDliT0GZpE )

Helping people is weird, u can't really help anyone, you can just serve as an example, they must help themselves.
According to the things u said, I'd get him to do physical workout: martial arts, yoga, breathing exercises.. anything to get him into the body and to stop the heads constant rushing. Also, a change of diet, no sugar.. etc.
Negative thinking is just a habit, basically.

Or.. you know.. some shroom therapy

Most of my coworkers are college-aged. This place also has a turnover rate of like 4 months. And I've been there almost 2 yyeeeeaaaarrrrrssssss...

Man, I feel like everything is so lame right now. Like not in the usual depressed way, more in a jaded, don't have anything fun to do way.
