What the fuck happened in here?

Are we really debating this shit?

Summit: first 3-4 Mastodon albums are incredible, check em out. Go from there if you want more.
GoT is pretty fucking hard to stomach until about the third or fourth episode of the first season. Then you are faced with the decision of whether or not to let the ridiculous fantasy tropes through to the goals and revel in the geekgasm, or say no to zombie/dragon/magic/death-by-winter/comet wrought apocalypse.

As someone that has read the books, read them if you want to nerd right the fuck out, but to be honest the writing on the show is better and while I'm not a fan of the extent of streamlining they've undertaken (although, I certainly agree, necessary for the tv format) it keeps moving at a breakneck speed and doesn't slow down to establish new chapters as much as Walking Dead does (not that I mind that either, I don't get why people hate on a show when they stop for one episode to unpack some heavy shit and then set up for the next round of brutality).

My 2c.

Hahaha, I have the feeling about to get my doom card revoked.

Any doom room approved humbucker sized p90's? Right now I am thinking about the Lindy Fralin p92's, because they are also hum cancelling. Also, Bareknuckle Nantuckets look pretty sexy.

I use a manlius fat goat in the bridge of my les paul and it sounds great. it is the most I've ever used my tone control. I believe the output on mine is 8-9k. All of the pickups are hand wound for the order. I was emailed shortly after I ordered it asking exactly what I wanted. I think I received it about a week later.

I haven't tried any of the others to compare it too, but it is my favorite pickup to use.

I have P90s in my SG and it sounds great but hum canceling would be a big improvement if it doesn't kill the tone.

Oh man, I just remembered... The first thing I ever learned to play on guitar was Iron Man. Wow, full circle, or sumthin'.

That first Black Sabbath album is fucking lightning in a bottle. Considering the cost for the production. It's up the top of my 10 best albums of all time list. Black Sabbath rules whether it's Ozzy or Dio. Ozzy rules Black sabbath or solo. Nuff said!

Seriously man. When I was a kid and thought Dimmu Borgir was the most evil band ever, the opening song on this album changed the way I thought about grim music.

To be honest, in terms of Game of Thrones...

I really enjoy the books because the pacing keeps me wanting more all the time. At that... I read a lot of Fantasy and find it the most enjoyable thing to read. I'm not a big re-reader though. If you told me I had to choose between being able to read Game of Thrones and never having time for Sabbath it would be a struggle because after three weeks I'd be done with Game of Thrones and Sabbath would just be there out of reach.

Prolonged enjoyment with Sabbath. Game of Thrones is a lot like sex just one time. Blow your load in one go.

Unrelated news: Seeing Torche/Nothing/Wrong this week. Also bought tickets to see the Melvins.
