Start my new (old) job today! Its gonna be a couple weeks before I get paid, but if I play my cards right, I can keep my 3 favorite pedals!

Not sure if I ever posted in this thread bc my girl usually likes to keep me in a perpetual state of pissed offness(don't worry, I must like it cause I love the fuck out of her) but some super cool shit has happened that I wanted to share. I just recently moved back to the north east cause my girl is busy with her career so I wanted to be close to family and friends instead of being alone all the time. I mentioned to my buddies I would love to buy a drum set soon for my home studio and to play around with. (Drums being the only instrument I doht have) we'll all my buddies hearing about me being bummed did something awesome. Whenever someone came to the jam space to visit me this month they would bring over an extra drum piece they had laying around. After four weeks of being back I almost have a full set, cymbals, stands and everything. Just missing a kick, and the high hat cybals, and my one friend just texted and said he has the hi hat and will bring it tomorrow. My friends are amazing. It's even more cool because it's a mix matched set all from different people, a set put together with love!!!!!!! I'll cherish this thing forever.

I got a random text last night to open for a show tonight. So now we're playing in just over an hour.

It's cool to have gotten to the point where other people are reaching out to us to play shows.

Edit: also person who texted me on behalf of her roommate (the roommate is the one in the band) is a qt girl I've been meaning to reconnect with.

Woke up feeling really stressed out and anxious. Decided to go out on the motorbike for a ride around the local area, turned out to be one of the best rides I've had.

I'm lucky enough to live in an area that has both traditional English countryside and old fashioned shingle beaches. It was great to discover new places and also bomb around country lanes.

That being said I narrowly avoided an unexpected pothole that was about a foot deep and took up half the road

Needless to say, returned home feeling really relaxed and content. Must do this more often.

^ That, totally jealous, it's 10 degree F here (like -12 C) so no riding for me....

I ride my bike in all weather and probably shouldn't hahaha. Today it was about 3 or 4 degrees C, and I wasn't wearing my winter gear haha.

Jeans are very f-ing cold going around the coast at 3 C

But I feel for you man, hope the weather peaks up soon so you can be out and riding!
