I say strip the paint off, send it to jwar to be lazer etched with a cool design, put some cool knobs on it and it would probably be an awesome pedal. Otherwise it should be housed in a paperbag like a fuggly chicks head.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Soooooo the amp company that made BAX eq infamous (or helped, how ever you wanna look at it) for including it in their amps, decides to release a BAX eq pedal but refuse to put BAX EQ's on their amps...... Yet again Orange has a marketing and engineering fail of epic magnitude.....

This I actually have no problem with. Orange has never really been a backward-looking company, even though they trade on their legacy pretty heavily (as does everyone in the amp business, really).
I think the pedal is a letdown, but I'm not pining for Bax EQs in their 2015 amps.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
The EQ is the one issue I've had with newer oranges. The AD200B I had would have been perfect if it had a BAX eq, and IMO the two band eq they have on their rockerverb series would extremely benefit from a 2 band bax eq.
Also you may not be pining for it on their 2015 amps, but I don't see you pining for their amps at all so

Ive always argued they should just have 4 amp models. OR18, OR50, OR100, OR200. Same basic schematic, Pix Only 72 OR but scale the power around. Nothing more, nothing less. Easy enough to add PPIMVs, scale the voltages on the power tubes to relax the 34s a bit so they dont die so easy.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
No diodes, so it's FET or JFET? It's ridiculously ugly and has a horrible name, but if it's good on bass and sounds better than a Monarch, I'd buy one. MIDS! Fugly is what stickers are for. I'll cover it in old Grief stickers, and tell people it's my custom Grief Doomstortion.
Which is going to hit the market first, the Orange Baxahosifats, or the DOD Boneshaker? I have a little more faith in the BAT-designed DOD pedal bringing awesome distortion and EQ.

I mean, I've already got a real one, but if I had to replace it, I wouldn't consider one of their new amps, Bax or no Bax. Might as well buy a Hovercraft for how close to the originals their current lineup gets.

I'm not really a fan of the modern oranges, if I'm going to drop that much cash on an amp I've got much better options. If they released an accurate OR series that would be dope, their current OR offerings are a joke. Don't get me wrong, they can sound good for other genres, but they're not true to the original Orange sound. The CR120H does kick ass though, especially for $300.

I don't think that should be ALL of their offerings, but that should be 4 of them that are definitely in their lineup with out a doubt.

If it was authentic to an OR120 I think you would change your mind about getting a current one, but seeing as that wont happen I can feel ya. Also truth about the hovercraft.

Yet another truth bomb.
