I'm really curious who it is. I have a guess :excellent:

And now I'm curious to know if you got it right   :
If you want you could message me, I don't want to stir up a bunch of hate and bad feels

But stiring up a bunch of paranoia is ok? :poke:

Bought an EGNATER tweaker 15 head NEW .. a few years ago.

in that time. the output transformer has died twice!!

so. after many emails to Bruce himself / also through facebook ( ugh ) he finally responds.

"Hey Josh,
Here is what I would like to do for you. I have a tested transformer here that I can send you. This way we can avoid the process of dealing with the LA office. It will be faster. The only thing I would ask is that you pay me for the shipping from Detroit which is $30. When did you buy it and when was the first repair done? You have a three year warranty but I don't know how that works in another country? You will need to pay MM for the labor. Is that what you did last time? What speakers do you use? Do you use an attenuator or any gadget between the amp and speaker? We do not have any issues with Tweaker 15 output transformers so I really don't know why this is happening. Also, please have MM confirm (or change if necessary) R29 to 470 ohm or 510 ohm 10 watt. They can use two 1K/5W in parallel if they wish. This will reduce the idle current in the output tubes for improved tube life but will not affect the transformer. Please let me know if this is all OK with you.
Thanks
Bruce"

while this response isn't terrible.

it means i would have to put MORE Money into this Dead amp. Fuck that!
and. i only got this response after lots .. of emails etc.

so. that's MY Egnater story.

Dude that completely sucks,
They gotta do better than that if it is constantly blowing transformers.

I am sure the last two transformers you had in it tested great too before your amp blew em up.

To me unless you are running the speaker output into your toaster or something, they have to give you something better than that as a solution.

well. i think so too.

and. he kept asking me are you sure ??
and. i kept saying. Yes. i took it in for service to a place waaaay across town.
that > Egnater themselves told me to take it.

so.
i Buy a new amp.
it dies twice. completely.
and. now. i have to Pay moarrr ?! what a great deal.
the place i took it too . can't believe Egnaters customer service.
Egnater seems like a reasonably Big company.

... how come "companies" around here .. can answer emails in a polite / timely fashion .. and have pretty much life time warranties ...

and Egnater treats me like Dis :idk:

no clue,
Plus the fact that he doesn't have 30 bucks for shipping is ridiculous

Zvex has twice fixed pedals for me that I bought used and that were damaged because of me
one went under water in a flood - along with alot of nice stuff
and one pedal my kid poured a juice box on (learned to not leave things on the floor)

If Zvex can fix things for free that I broke Egnater has to do better

Thanks

Air bag suspension went in my Mercedes Benz today. Got home, some dude crashed his car into the lines, no internet or cable, whatever there is always guitar. Warm up the Marshall, plug in. Nothing. For the first time in my tube using years my damn tubes went before I could change them out. I usually update them before problems. Well surprise. They got me. Sigh. Sitting on my iPhone using its tiny ass screen for Internet bored out of my mind.

Got suckered by a tobacco rep into buying these Revo "ash-less" cigarettes. They don't stay lit, they smell like burning weed stems and now i have a headache.

When your only solution is Milwaukee's Best Ice...ugh, at least I don't have to go to work tomorrow.
