dude i totally feel u. but u say this like its a bad thing. i am in a similar situation, and i just find things that i like to do during these times. like making beats or reading about stuff that interests me or is something that i want to learn about but havne't found the time at home when more fun things are afoot.

like i said i'm totally w/ u on the soul sucking, and thats definately something real to consider, but there are alternative ways to think about it.
flip the script on them. the way i see it, is they are paying me to basically sit on the toilet and make beats all day. thats pretty fucking awesome.

If nothing else, give them two weeks.

I'm in a spot where people can constantly see what I'm doing. I still have to look busy unfortunately. I've read things on the internet and watched tutorials for EZdrummer and Maschine but watching them without the device in front of me to try makes things tougher. I've tried so hard to still be productive, but I hate sitting on a computer this much. I do get to listen to a lot of new music though, so that's been nice.

I'll definitely give them two weeks but I'll also let them know they'd just be throwing $1000 down the drain with no return on it. For what they could've spent towards more manufacturing employees or even new machines, they threw at me to do nothing. I strongly dislike our CEO and the general culture of the place so I don't really have a problem essentially stealing their money and burning bridges but I do like my direct boss. If he can use the money they save on not having me to make his job easier, I'm content with quitting outright. Going to have the talk tomorrow hopefully, and unless they triple my salary (which would never happen and be really stupid) I'm leaving.

Today, I finished breakfast, walked out the front door, and found two boxes. One containing my beloved Stratocaster, Lola, and one containing all of my guitar pedals. I had to work immediately thereafter, but I have it all back. I am quite excited. I have to sell most of my pedals, but that's okay. I am just glad to have it at my disposal.

Lola is a great name for a strat!

Here's an article about Fuzz that a friend of mine wrote and did not tell me about it: http://www.redbullmusicacademy.com/maga ... hesia-fuzz
(It's apparently a little older, he references Death By Audio as a venue, which is no more, am I right?)

Thought I blew the speaker in my bass amp last night. My setup totally cut out during the middle of our last song, couldn't figure out what the problem was so assumed it was a blown speaker (not the first time).
Plugged it in this morning, all good.

So relieved I don't have to shell out money I don't have.

I received an SSM2044 filter IC for my KORG Mono/Poly today. I bought this synthesizer for dirt cheap last year and it didn't work properly all that time. But now it does! :!!!: :!!!: :!!!:
