Deathdoom is almost like funeral doom, but not quite as instant.

It's death metal with doom influences.
So. Essentially old school death metal that randomly gets slow.

I don't know why I quoted you instead of D.o.S
But yeah, bands like disEMBOWELMENT, Ataraxie, Anhedonist, Symptom, Shroud of the Heretic, Sempiternal Dusk etc.

I'm a fan of orange oranges. it just seems right anything else is just not right.
I might have to get a second one. I do have to say one thing about the cr120 I'm having problems with mine when I run it for extended periods in recording. When my beta lead died or whatever got fucked up since it isn't dead it just doesn't put out... the orange totally died out as well. But the next day it was fine. I didn't think anything about it for months. Now this weekend I was putting it through the paces with an Ampeg SS and the orange died/cut out totally again. I switched to the mosfet and finished my recording for that day. I'll see if it's fine today. but it seems that it's getting overheated or something just very weird. maybe it just doesn't like working with any other head.
I was wondering why wildebor hasn't been around posting cause he was always rather vocal about what he was doing. Makes sense that he lays low.
I can understand like everyone that gets overwhelmed or whatever cause i'm good for getting piled on with everything I'm doing.
Yeah my OCD would probably want matching headshells as well....
Interesting, is it hot in your jam space? It definitely gets plenty hot even with a fan directly on me at our space. But shutting down from too much heat is never a good thing. If you figure out exactly what causes it please let us know.

Mindrot and Jungle Rot, maybe even Malevolent Creation, come to mind for me, thats what we considered deathdoom way back when.

I always feel like such a pleb when the genre discussion around 'normal metal' bands starts.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I don't dig the death/doom stuff that is just more gothic sounding, but I'm into the older slow death metal bands like Grave and new stuff like Disma. There's quite a lot more bands in that mold now of sounds that's a mix of old school death metal and slow heavy doom metal influence.

The bands I listed aren't gothic sounding like Evoken and such. It's raw HM2 Swedish Death Metal style with slow sprawling moans.

very lame and upsetting that Nic deleted my posts in the Midnight Shark Tank. Fuck that. He was terrible to deal with and can't take anything posted about him unless it's 100% praise. Looks and sounds like another version of that Lone Wolf dude, if I remember what people were saying correctly.

Still better than Blake Judd from Nachtmystium.

While I don't know anything about the Blake Judd situation beyond what can be learned secondhand on the internet, that doesn't seem to be a very high bar you're setting.

Well, if I was setting the bar high in quality I'd mention Brent Monson. But that Blake Judd. What an ass of a junkie.

I had a guitar with P90s but I sold it because I get way too much hum.
