Haha oh I haven't watched bobs burgers. I enjoyed archer, so maybe I should. I was on the hunt for one a long time, when finally I walked into a small music store in the Netherlands, where the owners both sat and smoked weed when I came in and found it for I think it was 40€. May have been 30 also, don't really remember

I don't know if anyone listens to the Song Exploder podcast, but they did an episode last year where Loren Bouchard dissects the theme song for Bob's Burgers. Just thought I'd put that bit of info here before we get back on topic.
I guess it's not that far off topic, because he does talk about the Casio... if I remember correctly.

I've wondered if that was actual SK-5 sounds that they use on the show.

That would be cool. Thanks. The bark is my favorite.

Re: Let's see your KEYS/SYNTHS!
Any recommendations for preamps from you guys? I just grabbed a rack along with a cheap art tube pre, a power conditioner, and hopefully a power amp pretty soon. Currently I plan on using it mainly as part of my tabletop set up with an EQ, an Alesis microverb 2, and my mixer with a spring reverb in the loop. Is there anything else I should be looking for?

I actually thought about that. I just feel like it wouldn't work well for keys. Too inherently dirty? I grabbed an ART tube mp for like 20 bucks and I'm running that currently. It actually works really well

Yeah I have no idea. I don't use a preamp -- any time I have to use amplification I just use my Orange.

I have an older Sunn power amp that I wanted to turn into my dedicated noise/synth shit rig. My V4 definitely works just fine, but I want some something separate so I can manipulate eq/levels separately

Re: Let's see your KEYS/SYNTHS!
My answer to most questions is either RM-1 or Fryette SAS....
The SAS isn't a true preamp, but has enough output that it most likely (based on my experience and what I've heard from the builder) be used as one. Haven't ran an actual synth through it, but it's fucking gnarly with my black death, ios stuff, fb loops, etc

Your mixer should work too (I don't know what you have but I assume its a pretty normal one). They are basically a bunch of little preamps. A lot of house PAs are just a power amps and a mixer. Other preamps are going to give you more of a guitar or bass amp color.

All of my mixer inputs are used up for drone synths/feedback loops. The micro brute and a harmonica mic are the only things going through the preamp
