The ups and downs could certainly be caused by my program for sure. It's a shock on the system. The weird thing though is the sudden onset of it. I think it has to do with something else. I can't talk about it, but I found something out recently that's been weighing very heavy on me. Tearing me up inside. So if my results come back ok I'm going to seek out a psychologist. I can't keep taking anxiety medicine the way I've been having to the last week and a half.

Well this is the health and wellness thread, so I hope things shape up for you. :hello:

So I found out what's wrong with me for the most part.

First my glucose levels are too low, so I may be hypoglycemic (fucking wonderful), next my thyroid is borderline (and I mean like .2) away from being overactive, and finally my testosterone levels are way too low. My free test levels are half what they ought to be! HALF!

I'm so frustrated right now.

Yikes! I know barely anything about the glucose and thyroid stuff (except that raw cruciferous veggies are supposed to be no-bueno for people with thyroid issues :idk:), but it's weird about the testosterone. You'd think it would be alright with all the working out.

This has me inspired to work out right now. It's from 1993, but this is the coach that went on to set the handstand pushup record of 163, without coming down, AT AGE 50!

OUCH.
I highly recommend NOT giving yourself mid back cramps. Damn does it suck.

Currently trying to balance my workout frequency and volume. I'm getting tired of being sore most of the time :grumpy:

Three posts in a row for me?

Ok. I borrowed a weight vest from a buddy to do pullups with. I'm also trying to progress towards one-arm chins. Inspired by rock climbing dudes.

Glad everyone is doing so good in here!!! :)

As for me, it turns out my testosterone was almost non existent. So I'm on the shot now. I feel so much better it's not even funny. The only thing that sucks is I now cannot compete in the natural division of bodybuilding. It's bullshit. I am having a medically necessary shot every two weeks to hopefully jump start my body into doing what it's not doing on it's own and it's considered cheating. Fucking sucks. Now I'll have to compete in the NPC which is full of fucking people on so much junk, they probably don't even know what they're on anymore.

At least I feel better though. My health is the most important thing to me. So hopefully this is a temporary solution and I'll be back at where I was a few years ago.

I really want to buy a new bike, but I don't know if I want to drop $500+

I'm looking at the Schwinn Fastback 2.

That stinks. Glad you feel better though. I just listened to a Joe Rogan podcast where they were discussing guys using testosterone in MMA. Similar issue. Some guys would get it doctor approved, but then abuse it, making it harder to use for the guys who need it just to be healthy.

The meal plans at my college changed this year, so in addition to unlimited meals at the dining halls, I now also have $500 in "dining dollars" to use at the little cafes and things that aren't dining halls. This means I can now have someone else make me a protein shake at the gym cafe after every lifting session. Chocolate peanut butter banana so good. Only thing is I got really used to shakes with oats in them so the gym shakes seem really thin to me now.

Been doing Stronglifts for a couple months and finally hit bodyweight on my squat and deadlift (5x5 at 190 for squat, 1x5 at 195 for deadlift, at 5'11" 189). I know that relatively speaking I'm still super weak buuuut fuck yeah milestones.

So I've been a fucking mess the whole summer. My energy levels were horrible, panic attacks, lack of focus and just feeling like crap. Found out (might have already posted this) that I have low testosterone and sleep apnea. SIGH. So for the past several months I've been on testosterone shots and just started using a CPAP machine about two weeks ago. I'm feeling much better. My testosterone levels were that of a 60 year old man. I'm 32, that's ridiculous. So now I'm on two shots a week to keep me level. What sucks ass is that I was going to compete all natural in Bodybuilding and now I can't because I have to take test. They don't care if it's a medically necessary thing or if you are just taking it illegally for gains.

I've also been bulking for the past three months and have two more months to bulk. Right now I'm 219 lbs (was 225 last week), I'm 5'8, so that's pretty fucking heavy. hahaha. My waist is still around a 33 and I have to wear an extra large shirt because I literally cannot fit my shoulders into anything else. I can get away with some large shirt, but not many. Mediums are no longer a real thing to me. My body fat is still around 16% too. Absolutely INSANE. I'm getting so big that my knees hurt. I can't wait to cut. UGH.

Hopefully the testosterone shots will help with the panic and mood stuff. I've found that mood (and most everything else health-related) works from the bottom up. Nowadays whenever I feel anxious or otherwise crappy, I not only look to life problems but also how my body feels. Sometimes it's as simple as " oh yeah, I didn't sleep as much as usual...."

I've been learning a lot more about mobility and exercise. Doing things like shoulder dislocates with an empty weight bar has helped my shoulders a TON.
