No idea. That being said... I was at a beer/metal fest this weekend and watched Kylesa and Pallbearer play through these cabs. They sound alright. All things considered I couldn't give a single fuck about them though. They're too retro furniture vibe-y for me and overpriced to boot.ryan summit wrote:this is a joke right?ShaolinLambKiller wrote:... Precisely. If they look like pie chests and they got no pies, screw 'em. If they have pie chests with pies, that could be delicious. And loud.grindonomicon wrote:I mean, could that be done? A cab with a pie chest?ShaolinLambKiller wrote:Cabs
they still look like pie chests.
Cuz I'm pro-THAT.
It could even be hidden, so it doesn't look like there's a pie chest, cuz that apparently sucks.
Like At The Gates?
But I love Slaughter of the Soul.
I rocked the hell out of that when it came out.
Today I found out I'm proto-metalcore.

Early metalcore is cool, Zao, Cave In, Converge, etc... are some of my favorite bands. It took a really weird turn for the terrible though in the mid 2000's and hot topic core started existing and now I feel weird even using the word.

Yus. Felt bad watching them play to like 20 people, but that's how it goes sometimes.

Yeah, I've done my share of those shows - the ones where you basically play to the other bands.
I try to be optimistic and view them as learning experiences lol.

Any of you guys have a maple board guitar neck you're looking to sell or trade? Tele preferably, but I'm open. Already have it as a trade want in an ad I have up in BST, but figured I'd ask here as well.

Don't get me wrong, I love russian imperial stouts, but the Old Rasputin, although I will drink if it is available to me, just isn't as smooth or deep as the other Imperial stouts I enjoy.t-rey wrote:
False. You might not like the Russian Imperials, but that doesn't mean it's not extremely well regarded. I do like the Rogue Chocolate stouts though.
The Stone 2014 one is pretty exceptional. As is their Fyodor's Classic. That was raw as fuck.

Went and saw Knelt Rote with Sempiternal Dusk this weekend. Even though I had diarrhea from food poisoning.
Knelt Rote was certainly a treat.

Stone's winter stout? It was good, but probably something I wouldn't get for myself again. I like thick fucking stouts. Dragon's Milk is one of my favorites. Put some stout into bourbon barrels and I will drink that shit all day eerday.TempusEdaxRerum wrote:Don't get me wrong, I love russian imperial stouts, but the Old Rasputin, although I will drink if it is available to me, just isn't as smooth or deep as the other Imperial stouts I enjoy.t-rey wrote:

Yeah, I suppose so. The Stone Imperial Stout 2014. It was nice and smooth. I love the Fyodor's Classic though, it has that ambivalent dark acidic burn to it.ShaunNecro wrote:Stone's winter stout? yes they are. Even if I've only listened to their albums... judging by them I figured they would be quite excellent live.
Honestly don't know why the guy changed his shit from Dictator to Tone Tyrant. I figured it was the best guess. Eitherway he went from derp to derp.

Bourbon+Stouts will always be amazing. Add coffee and it's perfect for breakfast too haha!ShaunNecro wrote: I like thick fucking stouts. Dragon's Milk is one of my favorites. Put some stout into bourbon barrels and I will drink that shit all day eerday.
But yeah I've found myself drinking a lot of Dragons Milk. It's not as good as say Uncle Jacobs from Avery or BCBS, but it's also available all year long.

Alright, you've redeemed yourself. The Stone Russian Imperial is so fucking good it's ridiculous.TempusEdaxRerum wrote:Don't get me wrong, I love russian imperial stouts, but the Old Rasputin, although I will drink if it is available to me, just isn't as smooth or deep as the other Imperial stouts I enjoy.t-rey wrote:

Stone does small-ish batches of Russian Imperials every year (I think). I assumed he meant that. I haven't had their winter stout, so I can't comment there. Dragon's Milk is mucho delicious and has one of the best names ever.ShaunNecro wrote:Stone's winter stout? It was good, but probably something I wouldn't get for myself again.
