Cool tune, but damn if every time I see the words toner low it reminds me of the nightmares of when I worked in an office for a bit. Fuck printers, needy bastiges.

New single is quite good as well! Very relaxing

Never listened to her before, but this sampler makes me wanna check out more. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah it's not something I'd listen to everyday, but I do really want to see her live. To me that's where I really judge most atmospheric music. Like Russian Circles. They put on a just fucking fantastic live show, but I don't quite like listening to their albums on repeat.
christianatl wrote:LOVE Chelsea Wolf. All of my sads.

She does nail that emotion quite well.

And yeah if you guys head back to CO again I'll be there. Barring snow :grumpy:

We're about on the same page about Russian Circles. They were cool live at this little dive bar in Ann Arbor, but I don't listen to their records all that much.

And OMGOMGOMG I want to see Whores so bad. I just got my gf into them, she's been listening to Clean non-stop for like 2 weeks.

New record day: Bongripper / Conan split, and Sandrider: Godhead (with free beer cozy). If you haven't listened to Sandrider, please do so immediately. They are heavy and awesome, and my dream show right now would be Whores with Sandrider.

Also, new pickup day - changed the neck pickup on my SG for a Mean 90, added a bright cap, and changed the volume pots to 500k audio taper. Mean 90 is pretty cool, with the bright cap and new pots, it cleans up distortion in a great way. Definitely added new life to my dirt. I'm liking the pushed cleans on the neck, and the dirty sounds of the bridge humbucker (Gibby 57 classic). I'm also getting new sounds playing in E standard, and getting the ultraheavies by mixing an octave down into fuzz with an EHX pitchfork.

Any idea what they're using? That's some gnarly fuzz, and doesn't sound too scooped out

off the subject here, but has anyone seen these? many know that i'm a raging fan of the vintage ibanez artist series, and this really has me excited. apparently they will be available in the states. i just saw one on eBay new for around $875. an all mahogany modern legit japanese made ibanez artist. sort of a reissue, but they're slightly different from the old models, but very close in spirit. i have always wished i could find an old artist in black with block inlays and white binding. i have an old black artist with white binding, but you know, block inlays are awesome... and here it is. i've only seen pics of one old one like that. they don't really exist. this is an extremely rare instance of a new guitar that i actually really want, and it seems like they actually didn't fuck up anything that was cool about the old ones. it's pretty much got everything. good color scheme, chrome hardware (i hate gold hardware), set neck, japanese made, and apparently affordable (relatively).

Swanky.

Toner Low's gear is pretty standard Ampegs + Musicmans/Les Pauls + Oranges, IIRC.

That's what I've been able to find in research as well. There is a pedal in there though, its not just straight LP > OR120. To me it sounds eerily similar to Bongzilla's tone, so I'm thinking theres a muff in there as well.

For some reason I read this as CR120, and I was about to order one with overnight air shipping, lol.
