I will soon have an aluminium neck per the below pic. These necks are set up to fit fender style bodies, Strats, Tele's and Jags. Now I'm sure those measurements that these guitars share are probably shared amongst other brands too (??).

At first i was set on making an Esquire...buying a cheap squire tele and slapping the neck on...buying a good bridge pickup and new scratchplate to cover the neck routing as well. Then, if necessary, in the future slowely upgrade the hardware.

But then i started seeing other bolt on guitar shapes, some weird tele shapes and offsets...now i'm open to more ideas of what this guiatr could be.

I do like the idea of a 1 pickup guitar though, single coil or P90 and not really keen on a trem...so anyone got any ideas for me?

for asthetic ref, this is the neck...

I think Strats and Teles have slightly different neck pockets, so depending upon which one that neck is, you may have to reshape the body's pocket a bit. This is just based upon me buying parts from warmoth so I may be wrong.

Chelsea Wolf is pretty good, it has a nice atmosphere. I also really liker her album Apokalypsis. The new song is cool:

Abd that firebird is also pretty cool...i think also an RD would be cool.

RD!!!!!!! You know you wanna!!! The ebay seller linked a few posts above (Saylor) does some custom stuff. If you hit him up he might be able to make you an RD body with a strat neck pocket.

The neck pocket thing is a bit of an issue...it will fit tele's but there will be some small gaps due to the shape...but the more i think about this, the more in thinking that i should get the body built to the right specs...then its a matter of what shape.

I like the RD...firebird is cool...offset would be cool too...also that Retronix shape would be sweet too...either way it has to be slanted body shape to fit the angle of the neck.

The esquire might have to wait!

I wonder how much Monson would charge to do a completely loaded body...

Well the headliner is a PNW band, but there are oddly no PNW shows on the routing. :idk:

In related news, it's looking likely that we'll be out again this fall with a sort of big band. My body is ready.

you coming to australia too??? :poke:

We're about to sign a legit record deal, so it looks like we actually will get over there. Not on the fall tour though.

Great news Christian, I wish I could have caught you guys in Detroit, but.... life happens. I'll be moving to Portland OR just in time for your next tour to start which has no PNW dates...

Thanks y'all. Yeah it's weird that there are no PNW dates. Still routing though, so we'll see.
