Be careful, if you're in the forum when it vanishes, you'll be trapped until it appears again. The good news is no one ages inside the mythical vanishing Doom Room, the bad news is all your gear may turn to dust in your absence.

Corey Y wrote:Mine's in perfect working condition, about 6-7/10 cosmetically. No badge, pot on the Presence is snapped (still works though) and metal corners are beat, but it's still loud as shit and sounds killer. I kind of want to keep it, but I seriously haven't played it regularly in YEARS. I just fire it up once every few months, jam for 20 minutes and turn it off. At the time I bought mine I bought two at the same time from the guy for dirt cheap and sold the nicer one to the guitarist in my band at the time, who had been borrowing a Marshall from me for gigs. So all junk that's not perfect with mine has been that way since I bought it and I've just maintained it, heh.
I'd say to a non-doomer $350, to a doomer $250 in that condition. I still want one of those really bad, but that just might be my obsession with Tragedy

That's outstanding.
Thanks man!!!

Yer damn right!!!!!

conky wrote:Fuck yeah, Skip! I was seriously considering jumping on that too. Let me know how you like it and how it compares to your old Matamp. Also, dibs on the flip.
Dude I couldn't pass it up at that price. Especially for a turret built version considering the real things were PCB! It's gonna be very different than my old Matamp, this one has both a pre-gain knob and a master volume as well as a 2 band FMV tone stack (par for the course with a MV Matamp) instead of a bax stack and different tubes. All I want is to get into that EW - Let Us Prey zone for tone and I'll be happy. And good call on the first dibs

samzadgan wrote:Fuck yeah Skip!!! That is awesome.
When do you get it? You gonna run it stereo with the dunwich??
Also Clutch...not muchof a fan either.
The latest stuff im listening to (which is actually old) is Samothrace...fuckin' love that shit!
Thanks man!
It's shipping early next week so by the end of next week. And most likely not, the Naki is totally a pedals only amp while this is more of a guitar > dirt box or boost > amp kinda amp haha The eventual plan is to convince my friend to sell me the weed wizard back and run that in stereo with this.

fever606 wrote:Damnit Skip, your "Matamp" killed ILF/ILD!
Thats cause its just that damn good.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I was gonna list it for $360 on the local CL and be flexible with offers. Everyone lowballs like crazy here, if anything sells at all. I just gave it a once over, cleaned it up and took some pics. Of course I'd give forum dudes and friends a better price, but there's no way in hell I'm shipping it. I'm willing to ship my Traynor that I'm selling (don't prefer though), but not this fucker. It's in decent shape for its age and all, rough for my standards, I treat my gear pretty nice. Biggest flaw is the Presence knob is broken off, but the pot can still be turned and it works.

My only problem with guitar guy, is why isn't it pike, just playing himself.
I mean...if Tom Petty can play himself in The Postman, why not Matt Pike in Mad Max?
Also: Skips new amp is the shit, which isn't surprising at all.

Agreed that Pike would survive the apocalypse and keep on riffing.
Having an Aus Doom band (like a reformed Clagg
or Pod People) would have been rad, though.
Corey, I'd hit that VTM if I had any cash man. Would you take an AOR and a for parts Sovtek in trade?
You pay shipping.

Why hasn't a dirt pedal been called the dirty diaper? Perfect for fuzz loving doom dads.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
the products for doomdads that i need is no pedal...I just want random peices of perspex molded into shapes that can cover controls on my amps and pedals.
there's been 2 times when i've turned on my amp and almost lost my shit because the volume was on full.
and multiple times when the dirt pedal volumes were on full - not just any dirt pedals...BAT ones, which are fuckin loud...playing soft clean at room volume, then hitting distortion only to hit with a wall of noise.
