But I do appreciate it, and would want to pay an artist what they think they are worth. We likely can't afford a big name artist, it'd be awesome, and potentially doable if they were down, but this will be the first release by a relatively unknown band from Tacoma Wa, I kinda doubt we can swing a John Dyer Baizley cover.

I also don't want to be one of these jerks begging for a handout because my art is so much more important than everyone else's. So if you guys have any guidance on the correct way to go about this, I'd love to hear it.

Heavy, I love realism mixed in with psychedelic or celestial imagery, a great idea that is relatively poorly rendered can be so much more interesting than a perfectly rendered boring subject, so I guess it's relative and subjective? I
I'd love to take a look at your stuff, with apologies if you have shared it here before, hard to keep track of all the rad shit everyone is up to in here.

Tried hitting up John? I'm sure he'd be willing to work something out with you.

Bad news: I was in a car accident today.
Good news: I get to rent this sweet ride for a few days.

Ax, hit up Matt from my band (t0thesun). He does all of our stuff and did the Dunwich HM2 kit as well as my buddies in Machinist!'s new album that's coming out on Eulogy. He's pretty fast when it comes to whipping up something.

Definately will do that! Your art is always topnotch imo.

Tony, Johns cool, and I thought about it but I don't know if the style is what I want.

I thought hcfx has been dead? did they finally kill the whole site?

And fuck yeah challenger.

Well glad you are well enough to post about your car wreck. And personally I rather have a shittier car rented just because when I finally replace the wrecked car it's to something that I feel is an upgrade from the old car and the rental... instead of pining for the rental.

Yeah true, I would have a hard time wanting to give that beast back. You Americans have some of the most awesome cars over there.

As nice as the Challenger is, I don't think I could drive it everyday. It's just not very practical and I would be worried about it getting dinged and scraped.

I hate my main ride though and I would like to trade it in towards something easier to drive, but lack of money and all that.

That Dead Hand recording came out great! It's a true inspiration for fellow DIYers. Seriously.

Also among the list of things I'm stoked about today is this new fiddle that I (mostly) wrapped up customizing this afternoon. I popped it up in the Guitlove, but since she's at drop A with baritone 72s, I wanted to share it with some Doomers directly.

Suck ass. well then enjoy it while it lasts.

I always liked having a simple pick up truck. I've only had 3 cars in my life the first one I drove for 2 years which was an 82 buick regal. I drove it till some idiot bitch smashed up the back corner of it.

then I got a 95 Nissan pick up which I drove for 13 years till I finally got sick of everything breaking in the last year and then my 02 Toyota Tacoma which I'll drive till it falls apart.

shiney.. Jake... :thumb:

The link is question is here. Keep in mind some of the photos aren't things I've done. You should be able to tell though. It's been a little while since I've had a real project, and from what you've told me, we're pretty close to the same wavelength. Let me know what you think!

I have no idea if HCFX is still a thing or not. I was just commenting on Flo and Trey saying whats up and feeling nostalgic for those days.

Kind of telling that the old HCFX is remembered fondly, but no one actually knows if it still exists. I mean, yeah, we could check, but no one bothered to
