That feel when you can't find your lighter so you have to light your cigarette with the pack of matches your roommate left in the bathroom.
But then you remember how much better matches are than butane.

This is a classy man.
I'm sort of drunk. I keep trying to write posts in the happy thread about how I was all sad like 4 years ago and now I'm not as sad.
Oh whatevs. I'm just fine. Basically, in retrospect, hitting rock bottom is great because you have no place to go but up.

(just to clarify the "rock bottom" to which I'm referring happened years ago)
And ILF was a part of my growing/healing process. You're all great. :huggies:

Yeah hitting rock bottom is good. You feel kind of cleansed and able to start from scratch and rebuild yourself into the person you need to be. Also for some reason you have less shame and inhibitions. I had a real feeling of like I was reborn. And I just seemed to give less of a fuck about things. You know not sweating the little things that would of got me down in the past that lead to the breakdown.

The coil off the kitchen oven is the best/worst. Especially if you live with non smokers and you have to hurry outside.

The stereo on my new car only has one knob as a master tone control. & I gotta say, it sounds/feels really sweet to tweak the sound to the perfect spot with one knob.

I've had the same feels after my injury.
Shit that used to stress me no end just doesn't bother me anymore.
I feel like I'll get to where I need to be at some point. No need to break my neck doing it.
Even if shit doesn't turn out, I'll just find something else to do.
I'm not dead, so I can keep on living.
And that's fine with me.

Exactly, life seems to just keep happening whether you stress out about it or not, so why stress about it.
It's just more exciting to take your hands off the steering wheel, push the accelerator to the floor and just kick back and see where it takes you.

It's a good thing I don't drive anymore

Sorry bro, gas. Toot, toot!

Do trees die of old age? Will they just keep living forever if they are able?

They have a limit. Albeit a longer one than most organisms.
Plus I think there are usually external agents acting toward their demise.
The way of all things.
