Good stuff actually. The wife and I tried to get a group of friends to go see them at a festival but we got overruled for something like Steeley Dan. haha.

I dunno. I got to see squarepusher and my wife got to see St. Vincent and Belle and Sebastian so it was like compromise or something? At least I didn't have to sit through Alt-J...
but I honestly can't remember the two bands they were up against at the two festivals I went to that they played (FYF and Coachella). We will see them though.

They're really wasn't much to see at Coachella this year. And every year I go to hang out with friends in the desert at their house and I get one band I like (Toy Dolls, the year before), haha. I go to watch people but they were more reserved and less...umm...into mind expansion this year. I did corner some kids that had a Rudimentry Peni(or something like that...don't remember because of overpriced new castles) patch while I was waundering around (my wife and friends were watch Phil Selway put people to sleep) and talked to them for way too long about punk rock...then they said "Oh, this was just a band my dad has records of and I thought it was pretty cool". I kinda looked again and he had like a patches of AFI, Jet, and something else and a Mumford and Sons shirt...and I felt old, . I was telling them about Christian Lunch, Witch Trials, Tumor Circus, Amebix, and all this stuff...they seemed interested though. :idk:

When I found my wife again she was like "Were you talking about Punk Rock or Bakersfield with somebody?" haha.

FYF sucked though. I spent most of my time trying to get a free haircut...and the Strokes fans were the worst. Luckily they cleared out and we got to see Boris with not many people around.

Speaking of which, got Motorhead (my wife hasn't seen them yet, and actually wants to!), Damned, Melt Banana, Empire of the Sun, and Chrome tickets for the next few months! Just saw Underworld, too (though it was just ok). Bustin out the oldies:

Eh, that's why we married...haha. BFFs. But those other people let us stay in their desert house. They're cool. Can't be stubborn all the time. (oh, just remembered that we had to skip Motorhead and Nick Cave on their behalf once too...oh, and Secret Cheifs Three...yea, maybe it is time  )

But, yea, Run the Jewels is really good. Haven't like a rap group that much since Heiroglyphics, Del, and the Coup were all doin' their thing 15 years ago.

Worst part of building stuff is waiting for glue to dry...I guess I should do two things at once instead of rambling on here?

Oh, it's time.

Now I've got this ghost sound image in my head of Nick Cave intoning Orgasmatron over Yueh Chin backing by Trey Spruance.

Edit: Off to see if Chrome is gonna be in Philly. I know a whippersnapper Secret Chiefs 3/Nick Cave fan who needs to get Chromed.

Oh geez...

The Stalin - kind of a beginning (stay away from star club though)
GISM - Zouo, S.H.I. are all kinda in that realm...oh, The Comes!
Systematic Death -
Gai (kinda turned into Swankys) - Good noisy stuff that ended in very rocknroll stuff
Confuse - Beginnings of Crasher crust (tranquilizer is along these lines too)
Gauze - the big one, tons of bands are kind of in their realm (NK6, Dudman, A.I., etc) (started as Typhus)
There are a bunch of good ones, but some more big ones are Lip Cream, Outo, Rose Rose, Kuro, Asbestos, GAS, Gudon, Crow, LSD, Assfort, Bastard, Death Side, Fuck Geez, Forward, etc.

Gotta mention Disclose though. Disclose!

Stuff that is a little off kilter are like Junk Schizo, Off Mask 00, Laughin Nose, Freedom, Idora (i think that's their name), Gasatou. If you like Oi check out Cobra. Like poppy? Check out Shonen Knife.

The grind/thrashy stuff is there too like Unholy Grave, Final Exit, SOB, stuff on 625 thrashcore like Mind of Asian.

Stuff that is still going is like Gauze, Life, Forward, Warhead, well a ton of 'em.

There is way to much good stuff honestly. It's really hard to single out bands. Lots of great one off flexis and stuff like Jyudin Sochi, Friction, Bitousha, Poisonous Cross Gibbet.

Whatcha into? Might as well throw Melt Banana and Guitar Wolf out there too ('cause they are awesome) (EX-Girl might be worth checking out if you like people dressed as lotuses and singing about being frog people aliens).

HG Fact is a good label to check out too. Check out Mad Blasts of Chaos blog too.

Should be able to find info on most of these. Gotta search man. Tons of really good gems.
Kill from the heart is always a good site to check out http://www.killfromtheheart.com/bands.php?country_id=3

Hey, is there anywhere that you know is a good site(s) for downloading any of this? Buying physical records is not an option, I can't spend that much. I can look the stuff up on youtube, but I prefer having stuff on my phone locally.
